I guess the choice is up to you.
How can I, being such a mean thing that I am, choose Righteous? There is no righteous in me, no not any. I do not believe that I am able, on my own to make a righteous decision. But I can admit my utter failure, repent of my sins, claim Jesus is the Son of God and take the free gift of salvation Jesus paid for on the cross.
Wisdom! Words from my lips come forth from my heart, if I am arrogant in my words. I am arrogant in my heart! Etc.

It is because if him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God---that is our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. Therefore as it us written let him who boast boast in the Lord.
Not inky are you saved by his righteousness but you are filled with his righteousness. The life of Jesus is in you. Jesus, himself is in you. That is why you can choose righteousness.

Sorry if I offended you in any way, I didn’t mean to, I am saved but if I would have died at age nineteen I would have gone to hell, how I know this because this happened to me, back then I lived a sinful life.
The path I use to be on leads to hell
Happened to me in 1986, one night as I lay in bed, eyes closed, just about to fall asleep, I was suddenly, literally, frozen in fear. I tried to move my body but I could not move anything. I then tried to move one of my fingers but I could not move that either. I was paralyzed with fear. I continued trying to move but it was futile. My body wouldn’t respond to any commands my brain gave. I could hear a whirlwind. It was a terrifying sound, in the darkness. God’s wrath was on me. Next thing I knew I was no longer in bed. I was cast out of my body into outer darkness, a black darkness. I knew I was there for a reason, I was going to hell, and I was on my own. And I knew there was something on its way to me, I became more terrified each time it got closer to me. As it came really close I knew who it was, it was the devil, and horror overwhelmed me. Terror took a hold of me, I was shaking and trembling in fear, the intensity of the fear it was so intense I fainted.
KJV Psalm 58:9 before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
KJV Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Only God knows why I went through this.
