For the sisters to gather perhaps?I have give this quite abit of thought and prayer and am waiting on the Lord still. But the more people I hear ask makes me re-think about it. I do think it would be something beneficial and allow many sisters in the Lord to build up and encourage on another. One problem would be that it is an public forum and discussions would be viewable in public and it would be hard to keep men from posting in the that forum section if it was strictly towards women. I would like more feedback perhaps by a few women who use the forum regularly if this is something that would be beneficial?
something that would be beneficial?Definatly!This is a good idea because there have been times where i would have liked to seek the women on sermon index for advice but you can't really get their attention unless there was a specific forum for women. It would be a good place to share our experiences and for the older and wiser to share wisdom! It would be a place of felowship and somewhere to find encouragement. I think it's a great idea and something i would be using if set up as im always needing advice from other women who are perhaps in my situation.What does anyone else think?
Well, while understanding the sentiment...I, for one would be chagrined if the women became to segregated... We are blessed to have some of the greatest saints of that particular persuasion.The women here have taught me and many of us so much.How about using the PM and starting up a email correspondence type of thing? But you must continue to share with the men folk around here, remember we are lousy at directions. And color coordination for that matter ;-)

I for one, am a little leary of a group of women- and I am a woman :-P I like to have the guys balance it out very nicely. Women tend to get chatty and gossipy- not that anyone here would do that, but i would hate to take away from the calm, quiet spirit we have here. We who have been on here for awhile also consider this our family as well. I don't think we would want to part ways :-) I am happy to 'pm' about private issues or even email. The Lord has provided this place for a reason. It is His forum ( and I know Greg would agree). The Lord has used this forum mightely and I think it is because we (or Greg, rather) has let the Lord run it. And the fact is that this site is not JUST a forum or your ordinary message baord, it is much more... providing people with much needed spiritual meat in the way of sermons and articles, etc... Yes, I would be sorry to see the sisters hive off on their own. We all have limitations of time and inevitably there would times when we had to choose which room we were giving our attention to. I already have to do that with the forums as they are. It is not good for man to be alone, and I'm not convinced it's a whole lot better for woman! ;-)
