Keep me in prayer please. The word that God gave somebody my last time at UNCC for me really seems to be true. He said that God was getting ready to bring me to a new phase/level of my own ministry, and so far each time I have gone out on the streets to preach this semester since then, I've received some resistance, which seems to be getting stronger each time.Today I went out again, and as soon as I got to Mitchell Community College, the security spotted me and came out to chat with me for about 20 minutes or so, informing me that they say I am welcomed to come speak on the campus so long as I don't impede somebody from walking, and so long as I don't disturb classes in progress, or be so loud as to disturb folks working in the administration offices. I then went outside and began to preach at the area I have agreed on with security, and within 2 or 3 minutes some guy was pointing his finger in my face telling me off, and how he doesn't want to hear the gospel. He came across to me as rather upset. I just let him say his peace, and he walked away and I continued preaching. About 5 minutes later or so, the campus security came to inform me that I was probably being a little too loud, and that they had already received complaints. At this point, I had already finished preaching the word the Lord gave me to preach, and seeing that I was met with such strong resistance, I just began to go around and talk to students one-on-one for about half an hour or so and then left the campus (I had errands to run today). My pastor has been encouraging me by quoting 1 Peter 4:14. Also of encouragement is that the campus is open to us making use of empty classrooms to hold meetings in should we want to, and to partake of an annual Spring festival by having a booth of some sort. So, while we have some resistance, it seems God is perhaps giving us favor with some at the same time. Also, pray for my family, especially my Mom. Each week that I've come back from preaching open air, I've received very stern lectures from her and how she does not like that I am doing open-air preaching. Though I understand her concern, as she does not want me to be physically harmed and persecuted.I remember how Paul said that our warfare is not carnal. I believe there are some spiritual forces behind the opposition I'm receiving. I believe only a demon would oppose the preaching of the gospel.
