I have a question for those who feel that a woman's hair is her covering instead of the need to wear an external covering. This has been my understanding(my husbands as well) for awhile now and so I stopped cutting my hair almost a year ago now. My hair is not super long but it has grown out several inches and I was thinking with summer heat approaching I would like to trim some of it off but not sure if by doing so would I still be honoring my husband and the Lord? I have read some teaching(not many) about a woman not dressing and looking like a man but not really sure I understand how this fits with the styles and clothes as well as hair styles that are worn today. Some of you might remember from some of my other posts I tend to go overboard in the area of being modest, while I may not always get it right my desire is to honor and obey the Lord. So having said all that I am not looking for a debate or anything just some understanding, I want to be grounded in the Word on this, and I am open if any have some teaching on this they can recommend.
so thanks
