Unreached of the Day: 03/14/2012 (Wednesday) - Dubla of India

sermonindex Mar 14, 2012

Dubla of India
The Dubla worship gods and goddesses of the Hindu pantheon. They are sometimes known as Halpati, a name given to them by Mahatma Gandhi to remove the stigma of bonded labor. Divaso is their main festival, associated with the mock marriage of unmarried girls. They have a literacy rate of 26.5% (1981 census).

Ministry Obstacles
These people speak over 20 languages. Separate church planting projects may be needed for most of these.

Outreach Ideas
Workers are needed to carry the Gospel message to the Dubla using several means, including printed materials, stories from Scripture, and films.

Pray for the followers of Christ
Pray for the Christian believers among the Dubla community, that they will mature in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting Him fully for their salvation and for their lives.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Dubla community will be able to care for their families adequately, for their standard of living to improve as needed.

Scripture Focus
"This gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations and then the end will come." Matthew 24:14

Thanks for posting these groups. I am sure it is high on the priority list in the kingdom of God. We would do well to pray for these groups. amen

I remember being a part of planning a week of "missions" meetings a number of years ago. We picked a dozen unreached groups and had people dress up "as near as possible" to what these groups were like. We then had them introduce themselves to the evening meetings. It was sooo powerful. One group we focused on was the Hmong people. It just happened that God allowed my wife and I to be present when Tom White presented a member of the Hmong tribe with a complete bible at a VOM conference about 10 years later. We wept with joy!
