As a young person we sang this song in choir many years ago. I remembered the chorus to it. It has a great message. Today I managed to google up a copy of the words. Does anybody know if there is a recorded version of it?
LORD DO IT AGAIN
Words and music by RONALD J. OWENS Arr. By Patricia H. Owens
1.\t Lord how we long to see You work in power, --
We need revival in our day;
You have encouraged us with every shower –
But, Lord, it’s for a mighty rain we pray.
Chorus:
Lord, do it again, -- Lord, do it again; ---
Pour out Your Spirit upon us, Lord, do it again.
Lord, do it again, -- Lord, do it again; ---
Send us a mighty revival, Oh Lord, do it again.
2.\t You’ve let us hear the rustling in the bushes;
We’ve seen a cloud the size of a man’s hand.
We’ve read what you have done down through the ages;
Oh God, we need a revival in our land.
3.\t Oh Lord, revive your church within the cities,
Those concrete, asphalt jungles made by man.
Oh Lord, unite your people in the cities
That You’ll be praised and men will turn from sin.
4.\t Oh God, Oh God, our nation needs a Savior,
It needs to see a church alive and well;
So many, Lord, are bound by Satan’s stronghold,
And we’ve been called to storm the gates of hell.
5.\t Lord, not for praise of men, but for Your glory,
Lord, not that we might boast, but for Your name.
Forgive us, cleanse us, fill us with Your Spirit,
Oh Lord, revive Your people once again.
