Are we after the gifts or the giver

James 1:17 KJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

I know in my life we tend to be after what god can give us than god himself. Yeshua or Jesus means Salvation.

I know there are times in my life we are after everything else except the one who is gives gifts and knowing God more.

I have known this with me with work, wife and other things.

How mixed up could we be in much of our thinking,..nowadays ?....Are you saying, that we tend to think selfishly,..sometimes ? I really think so.

Thoughts about when we see,... The verses,.." the love of God '

..Do we always want to think that it is: ,..His love for me the Word is talking about ,...ME ,..SELFISH WAY,..God' love for ME,...US,..

Is He not talking of OUR LOVE FOR HIM,...GOD ?

We know He loves us SO very much,..but what about our LOVE FOR HIM ?...

Is that kind of what you are saying ?
