Great Sabbath
Psalm 45:1-9
Leviticus 2,3; Mark 1:9-20
The mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love
shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be
removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10
Christ says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not
give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and
do not let them be afraid." John 14:27
Lord, as St. Francis prayed, make us instruments of your peace. Guide us
to console more than seeking consolation, to pardon more than asking for
pardon and to know that in death we are born to eternal life. In Jesus'
name. Amen.
