During the early days of the communist takeover of Russia, party cadre would travel through the countryside. They woukd go into villages to expouse the wonders of the peoples revolution to the village peasants. Often times the party officials wold have armed guards to insure village compliance.
On one such occasion a party loyal came into a Russian village with an armed escort. The party official ordered the villagers to assemble in the village square. For the next three hours the official ranted about the glories of marxism. Then the party official looked at the village priest being somewhat the most literate man in the village. He said, 'Priest I give you five minutes to refute me'. The priest said, 'Sir I only need five seconds'. Then the priest shouted, 'My people The Lord Jesus Christ has risen'. The villagers shouted back, 'He has risen indeed'. It was said there shouts drowned out the machine guns that mowed the villagers down. For these villagers knew that true hope was found in Jesus Christ and not Karl Marx.
You can go into Moscow today and see the enbalmed body of Lenin. But in Jersuulem, there is an empty tomb. The cry of the believer is THE LORD HAS RISEN!!!!!!! How does your heart respond?
