Satan's fifth column in the church. . .

E
ET101 Apr 22, 2012

I saw a Christian ex-Satanist give his testimony about how as Satanists they executed plans to infiltrate the church and sow discord. They'd send prostitutes into the church to entice and cause the pastor to fall into sin. . .

I've also heard Derek Prince teach on witchcraft - defined as the satanic art (is it really an art?) of intimidation, manipulation and domination - and how even Christians have been demonised to manipulate the pastor and the congregation.

And recently, I think I've noticed in certain individuals in the church something very odd; they're extremely well-versed in the scripture, apparently zealous for God. . .and yet there was something in my spirit that just wasn't at peace around them - later I started to notice that there was no fruit commensurate with everything that came out of their mouths. And red-flags started going up in my mind.

So I'm curious to hear from people about wisdom gained about Satan's fifth column in the church? I don't necessarily mean heretics. I mean more like people who operate in the church under a cloak of Christianity - even a doctrinally sound faith - and yet really are doing Satan's work in the church: sowing discord, destroying unity as it forms etc. How have you discerned them?

I'm sure such people are on SI too. Luring people into arguments, fights and discord. . .

So, how does a 'watchman on the wall' discern them? What do you look for? Any telling experiences that shed light on this?

Thanks.

So, how does a 'watchman on the wall' discern them? What do you look for? Any telling experiences that shed light on this?

This is a very curios question you have asked. If you were a watchman on the wall you would already know the answer. This is a practical saying. Please don't be offended. A watchman is another way of describing part of what a prophet functions like without having to give any effort. To the prophet, watching is easy. On the other hand "the Gospel of Christ is the Spirit of prophecy" so every believer can also watch.

How easy that watching will prove to be on those who are not of the 'prophetic calling, and what effect it will have on the one watching, as well as others, will depend on their personal walk and calling.

The subject you have raised needs to be dealt with in a most careful way. Not least so as to give no glory and false benefit to that wicked one, even Satan. But also to preserve those who hear what the watchman says. Watchman can be complete fools and unwittingly lay fear and concern at the feet of the saints.

As to dealing with the belief that their are those in the church who are infiltrators and not true members is something for pastors and elders to deal with. Even in this regard prophets have to take a lesser role for the sake of the elect. Discern or "know" who is who. But don't try to deal with them or their activities alone. A watchman should give the cry and then prepare for battle. Nothing more.

I don't see in your post anything of the above concerns. So be at peace. I don't think that this subject can be rightly gone into on a public forum. It would require 'exposing' others to 'familiar' knowledge.

Consider this "this man was saved in prison, in the midst of writing an occult doctrine to serve Satan".

Don't go there brother what men have experienced as a result of their own wicked inclinations to even serve Satan, is best left in the bin, which is where my writings went the moment I believed in and understood that God did indeed love me and gave His Son for me. May the Lord bless you.

Brother ET101,

Do not be discouraged, there are watchmen at different stages in their life... a watchman just learning to a seasoned watchman. AS watchman, we need to be on the lookout that there is no "third column" in us because when we get free, we can see more clearly!

The Holy Spirit is the true watchman and we must learn to walk in the Spirit as well as walk by faith because our eyes will deceive us. So, every watchman must learn to rely on the True Watchman, Holy Spirit, to "alert" them. That's just my two cents, bro.

God bless you,
Lisa

A Time To Do Nothng But Trust by David Wilkerson

Topic: Trust
Scripture(s): 1 Samuel 14  \t

While these type of situations do exist, they're not the ones to be leery of, as I would imagine they're quite less common than you'd imagine.

The ones who are the real trouble makers are the ones in the congregation who are in Satan's service and have no idea of it themselves.

Great post amrkelly. It sounds like your testimony might be tried and true. And to the OP the Lord will guide His people. For they will hear His voice and they will not follow the voice of another. The great deception is at hand but God shall prevail. Blessings to ALL

I completely agree with this statement. It is not the satanists in the church that i would worry about. Those can be easily discerned, generally speaking. The ones to worry about are not the satanists but the religious everyday people who come and play church and by and by they are given a role of authority in the church when they are not even saved.I have seen this over and over and over since i was a child.

The BTK serial killer was very religious and able to fool everyone in his liberal Lutheran church (Kansas) and be elected or assigned the office of deacon on the church board all the while he was out raping and murdering people. It is because there was no discernment in the very religious elders of the church or he would not have been made a deacon in the first place.

It is because there was no discernment in the very religious elders of the church or he would not have been made a deacon in the first place.

What you say Trekker is the plain truth. I don't know anyone who hasn't been 'let down' by their Elders and Pastors in some way or other.

As difficult as it is to experience this ones self, God requires it of all of those who believe, to submit to those in authority over them. I am neither a pastor nor an elder. It has been one of the most difficult things for me to submit even when I can see error and sometimes dangerous error. The Pastor and the Elders however are not my enemies. So I can give the shout and prepare for battle, but I can't over throw government in the process.

The man who you spoke about having been a deacon and the lack of discernment which must have attended to that man's life is really shocking. If you had been in fellowship with him, do you believe that you might have discerned his true condition. If so then you must know that you could have done something about it yourself. You could have 'shouted a warning' and you could have laid hold of him in your spirit to bring him to Christ and then to prison. Who wouldn't do the same if they had discerned such a condition.

This morning, before logging on, I was just thinking about this very thing except regarding SI. There are surely regular posters on SI that are unbelievers acting as christians. I believe many were sown in here from the beginning in attempt to destroy the much good God would do through this site. Herod tried to destroy the babe Jesus by brute force. Constantine decided to do so by getting on the inside and slowly perverting christianity. The best way to destroy something is to pretend like you belong to it and suport it while slowly changing it.

In our day only the very elect will be saved, and barely. Imagine walking into a mormon temple and telling everyone that they are decieved. Now replace mormon temple with evangelical church. The situation is much worse than a few satanists in the pews. Christendom has become a haunt of devils and a cage for every unclean bird. The satanists are now controlling the majority of seminaries, denominations, and local churches.

Know God, know His word, all of it - dont pick and choose or take a pre-packaged systematic theology that someone tries to hand you gift wrapped. Most importantly be sure you are at the end of yourself and crucified with Christ, having Him rule your heart by faith despite your own weakness and frailty. Ask where the old path is and walk in it...

In Christ -Jim

And worse yet, like a mormon would emphatically declare they are a christian so would many of the people here that are not. Truth is fallen in the streets.

"These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life:

“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan."

These must be people in Smyrna within the Church, or otherwise why would Jesus warn them? There were multitudes of Satanists on the outside of her; they meant nothing.

I have long wondered about this phenomena,and been confronted by these, beginning about 1975. I had an experience with God as my Pastor and I went to dinner. While we were eating he began to glow, and I felt he was peering into my mind itself. At the very second, the Holy Spirit spoke to me within, in a clear audible way;
"THE SPIRIT OF ANTI-CHRIST"

My body and spirit was shocked, but he didn't flinch, but kept up his wicked stare, and I knew that he knew what the Lord had said to me, and I knew that he knew.

This event changed my life. I confided in another so called Pastor for guidance who betrayed my confidence, and everyone thought I was just another deceived rebel. I ended up leaving that city, and found refuge at a fellowship elsewhere where I was received and loved.

[ Side note: I was right. The "Pastor" who betrayed me fell away into Universalism, and the secret agent of Satan proved to be so in time.]

My question has always been why? Why would a servant of the Devil join himself to the church? What benefit is in it? I have came to one conclusion; they are rewarded with power and prosperity.

My Pastor who the Lord identified as an agent of Antichrist , divorced twice, was rewarded on his 3rd marriage, and married to a multimillionaire....and is now very rich...and out of the ministry.

But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”

Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish."

Satan honors those who honor him...in a direct and clear way. There are witches who have direct communion with the Devil and his, and are led about daily to please him. I know of one woman, who is a Satanic High Priestess, who has a Jesus is Lord sign in her yard, and worships at a conservative Church of God every Sunday.

Everyone in that church honors her as a Christian, and she has finagled her way into wealth. It has to do with obedience, destroying the Church, and remaining hidden. Who would suspect a well respected Christian to be of Satan? Also, it brings about the confidence/man factor. [Con-Man].

In areas of business and trust, she now has many inroads into many people, because of reputation. She may be the most wicked person I have ever known; a murderess, theif, immoral and coveter. She is set in place by the Devil.

I have also been to Jerusalem a few times, and have met the Satanists there, that actually practice the ancient wicked ceremonies to manifest devils to do there bidding; Wikken witchcraft.

I know this because I was targeted by them, and I almost died. A powerful demon manifested, visibly to me , and I was blinded for a moment. I could describe the setting, and the demon. I could hear their chanting, and I know their names. [ I pray.]

They all confessed Christ, and lived very religiously. They all were Jews. Somehow, they had a mission, and it had to do with diminishing the Church; destroying her, while receiving a benefit to serve the Devil. They got something back, if not just brute power in life.

Please show me mercy for this post, and reject it if you will; I am just giving my testimony and insight, as a brother. PS: these were exposed to me, to be rooted up, and destroyed themselves.

Please show me mercy for this post, and reject it if you will; I am just giving my testimony and insight, as a brother

There is a difference between what goes on in the church and what goes on outside the church. This must be certain to all of us who love Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.

Of the seven churches in Revelation, only Philadelphia was left without reproof. In the same way we know that only Laodicea is actually rejected.

The church of Smyrna certainly did have a group of people who were not saints, but who nevertheless were able to live amongst, influence and effect an outcome in that Church. The concluding part of the prophecy to this church was "Fear not the things which thou art about to suffer: behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life".

Those you have spoken about, the former 'pastor' and the 'woman' are the ones who are bringing about today's coming tribulations on the church. Isn't this what we have all learned. That there are those who take the name of Christ and yet love not the truth. Very nearly everything they do is harmful to us. Worse even than this 'spiritual' harm, they empower Satan to make a claim against the very church of Christ and to cause it to suffer physically as a consequence.

All this is what happens in the church. In the world there is a different effect. This is the effect which I will not discuss openly on a forum. Why? Because it is this effect which brings the greatest fear and difficulties for young believers. What we had in the world is best left in the world. What happens in the church has always been a necessary enquiry. Testimonies from those who have been delivered from a Satanic fascination and influence should be simple and straight to the point. If these now saints do much more than this there is a real danger of bringing fear through fascination with Satanists who don't even come near to the real church, and cannot in truth harm the real church.

Your Jerusalem experience was greater in its effect than your 'dinner' date with your former 'pastor'. The one nearly cost you your life and the other sobered you into a terrible reality, which at the time must have been confounding. Even so it strengthened you and made you gird up your loins to the Lord. Had you had an experience of those who serve the enemy from without you could easily have become fearful to the point of falling away for a season.

Your testimony is very powerful and I think that it must have been truly 'fearful' to have come under such a man as you described the 'pastor' as being. What you spoke about in Jerusalem is probably more terrible still. In the end we know that our enemy is the evil one. Not flesh and blood, not even those who are in our midst and serve Satan.

The tribulations which are coming upon nations and peoples is a two edged sword. On the one side tribulation will cleave those who are to wear the crown of life unto perfection. On the other it will strike at the wicked "yet still they will not repent".

Your courage in sharing is a blessing. What you shared is sobering. May God have mercy and give us grace to understand the times we live in.

No offense. Thank you. I also understand the care you're exercising to not expose people to 'familiar' knowledge.

Do not be discouraged, there are watchmen at different stages in their life...

Thanks.

I am grateful for the testimonies too of people who have had an experience one way or another. They're insightful for me.

Thank you so much for your wonderful insights, amrkelly. They make me understand a lot (and enough without going into dark fascinations).

I have walked in utter blindness to deceptions in the past and been hurt for it. So I just want to walk in a higher level of sobriety about these spiritual matters.

Thank you.

Bless you brother. It is essential to hold onto the reality you have expressed. Put more simplistically don't interpret knowledge with knowledge where familiar knowledge is concerned. Only the Word of God can do that. Subject familiar knowledge to the mind of Christ in you.

Amrkelly, you live in the UK so i assume that is why you misunderstand. It was not my church nor is it anywhere near me; i live in a different state, thousands of miles away. Apparently you are not familiar with the very famous case here in the US of the depraved BTK serial killer, but pretty much every one in our country is.

However, i did have an experience where i attended a local church once and a perverse person was also a regular attender and was constantly following me everywhere around the church and behaving unseemly towards me. After neither he nor his brother would leave me alone i complained to the pastor who promptly proceeded to do NOTHING, or would he even listen. He was a proud Pharisee and demonstrated it many more times until i finally left the church. There is nothing in God's Word that says a person has to take abuse in the church, etc or submit to elders who are teaching false doctrine. There is always the option to leave. I am thinking of Matthew 18 (on how to handle a brother who offends) and also Titus (on rebuking a heretic once or twice and after that have nothing more to do with him).

sermonindex Apr 23, 2012

Yes I did in fact realise that you had not been in fellowship with him. I don't know the case however. Leaving is as you say the only option. Thanks.

sermonindex Apr 23, 2012

Thank you brother Kelly for your seasoned response to my testimony, as it was filled with compassion and discernment. Everything must be tested in the body, but there is a rejection of the revelatory that borders on hatefulness, and when a person enters there, they bring condemnation upon themselves; yes, even in the persona filled world of the Christian forum.

It is for this reason that I asked for mercy, so that others would not condemn me, in this manner. There are gifts given to the body, and one of them is "Discernment of spirits". I believe I was given this gift, and it is for the body.

" And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.

His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.

And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.

She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne."

The Church was born through Jesus' Cross, and from the beginning, as a baby, she was pursued. Stephen and James the Apostle were first slain, and then all of the apostles except John, and much of the Church. Saul the Centurion served Satan in this devouring and some died and some blasphemed. There was much physical devouring, yes.

"Worse even than this 'spiritual' harm, they empower Satan to make a claim against the very church of Christ and to cause it to suffer physically as a consequence."amrKelly

However, at least in our time, I see the "spiritual" devouring much, much more terrifying. The agents of Satan, either willingly, or in their ignorance, are constantly assaulting the Pure Doctrines and Holy edicts of the true Church; the simplicity of the Gospel to bare our Cross,[die to our ways], and Love Jesus with all of our hearts, and our neighbor as ourselves.

They seek to pervert mercy, and clandestinely label it as permissiveness. They create a Gospel that is supremely self serving, and call it your best life now, or your purpose driven life that will allow you to succeed over any obstacle preventing you to be happy, healthy and prosperous.

If you ask if I am including Joel Olsteen and Rick Warren in as these agents; Yes, I am; [ there are hundreds and hundreds more ] but these are but the icons. Under them are multitudes of prophets that lie, and wicked leaders who refuse to lay their lives down for the least of the brothers and sisters who need their guidance and protection.[ As spoken below about our brother stalked by evil, and ignored.]

Are all agents of the Devil?, no, but biting the same apple gives you the same poison. They have been influenced by true satanic messengers whose motivation is to see the Holy Church annihilated, and as Baalim seduced Israel, not by Direct Baal worship, but by compromise. He called on the beautiful ladies of Balak to take men of the camp, and they did.

As fornication of old would kill you, so doctrinal fornication, often dictated by corrupted Pastors and Leaders of World-wide movements, will kill you just the same, for when you are corrupted, God cannot receive you, unless you repent back.

At some point, God must turn some over to a seared conscious, where-in there remains no more a sacrifice of sin, but indignation from God Himself. This is the motive of "5th Column people"...to draw away from the Holy Camp, seduce with Doctrines of Devils, and get people to believe a lie, and then be judged. Sadly, it works so well.

No Cross, No Glory, and Oh!, how strong is our satanic natures..[ insert your name ] that we must allow God to slay every day, and how deep he runs. The World with her comfort, and the Pride and Power that the Devil offers, to give you your best life now. We all want it, don't we.

This is the apple, and we must realize that there is more than one snake in the tree. He may be your Pastor, he may be your brother, he may be a family member or spouse, or a friend who has been compromised and seduced.

The Devil eats babies. Find a merciful Pastor young ones, and crucify your pride to believe that you know. Cling to the Holy Bible, and reject all others that would say LIVE as you WILL. We cannot, but SUBMIT to the Holy Spirit within, other wise your none of His anyway.

Wow, Brothertom, that is quite a story. Thanks for sharing. That is a very good warning to all of us. There are always so many man-worshipers in the church. Even i have been guilty of it from time to time. We are all a bit guilty of it. Just look at how Christians everywhere basically worshiped GW Bush for the years he was in office as if he could do no wrong--the same GW Bush whom i saw bow down to the pope and honor him as "a holy man" and who falsely stated that "Islam is a good and peaceful religion". And Christians revere Billy Graham as if he could do no wrong and if one points out the man's heresy (FACT) and his associations with known heretics such as Robert Schuller, the popes, etc, then man-worshiping Christians are instantly offended. Another example is how church members expect their pastors to be all things to all people, and place him up on a pedestal.

You personal testimony is a good warning to us--to me-- and a reminder that "even the devils believe and tremble". Even the devils are able to say Jesus "is the Christ, the Son of God!"
