Prayer for spiritual leaders

I remember hearing a story about a young believer who was on an airplane. Sitting in the seat next to him was a man who apparently was praying. Out of respect the believer waited til the man had finished praying. After the man had finished praying the believer had asked the man if he was a Christian and if he was praying. With an evil smile the man said he was a satanist and he was praying for the destruction of pastors across the nation.

Intercessors have told me that satanic groups exist to target pastors and spiritual leaders and see their downfall. Perhaps some may dismiss such reports as exaggeration or sensationalism. The reality is there is a spiritual war against the saints.

With pastors coming down with various cancers and the tragic events that occurred at VOM, it is imparative we cover our spiritual leaders in prayer.

Fully agree, Brother! That was one of the first things that I was taught as a baby Christian. If you want to take the sheep, go for the shepherds or go for the head.
I'm in this prayer movement - definitely - my pastor and every other good leader is being targeted because they Are good. Yes, I surely do believe in spiritual warfare on their behalf.
Brother Brian Long comes to mind as his son Luke and his sister are preparing for that bone marrow transplant tomorrow, and several others that come to mind, or just in general.
Thank you for this thread. We need to take these things seriously - even if there weren't satanists or witches, etc., around - there's still the enemy of our souls to deal with.
Pray one for another as well.
