'THIS' Gospel of the Kingdom......

E
Elibeth Apr 28, 2012

Question:
Why are we not hearing more of the preaching of ' THIS' Gospel
Of the Kingdom ?...or The principles of,..or the things pertaining to
this Kingdom ?
Is there anything more important ?

Isn't This what John the Baptist,..then Jesus,..then Paul,..a continuation
Of ' THIS ' Gospel ? Make straight paths for our feet.(walk)

Narrow,..not wide

The Kingdom is within,...the King has come to live within us,...to
Rule,...be Lord, order our steps,..walk,..feet.
But do we say: We will not have this man to Reign over me ?

Does it seem that the world thinks that we can be in a Kingdom, and do as we dicide to do ,...rebel,..and we can be in that 'Kingdom of God',..
Can we ?
Should we be hearing a lot of ,...' Did God really say that ' ? ....

I know this is a HARD word,...BUT do we not NEED Truth ?
Is it not a late date ?

In His Love,....always,
elizabeth

I know this is a HARD word,..BUT do we not NEED Truth?
Is it not a late date.

Your word seems the opposite of hard. Most if not all of the 12 apostles were benefactors of John the Baptist's ministry. "The kingdom is at hand." Jesus told the disciples He sent out in His own day to preach the Kingdom is at hand. Jesus even went so far as to explain that where this message was rejected, to shake the dust of their feet and to declare "behold the kingdom has come nigh unto you."

Today as you have said the kingdom is within us, even as Christ is in us. Where the king is, there is the kingdom. Looking to the coming of Christ at His return is the same in meaning as looking for the full revelation of His kingdom. What more could restrain a believer to walk so as to be looking for the Kingdom. Or to be found worthy of it.

Elibeth,

Paul writes to the Colossians that they, and by implication we, have been resued from the dominion of darkness and brought into the kingdom of the Son be lives.

We just need to live out the reality of the King in our hearts.

Bear.

I second brother jimdied2sins book by Bercot, jesus spoke more on the kingdom then he did of any other subject yet we/many of us have a very limited understanding about what the kingdom is and how we relate to this kingdom while we are still here on earth. I warmly recomend that book!

Elizabeth,

Jesus stated in Matt 24:14 that the end would not come until "THIS GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM" was preached into the entire world; not the fluff that is preached today.

And THIS GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Mt 24:14)

And.... (huge grin) in two other places in Matt the very same gospel of the kingdom is connected to healing all manner of diseases and sicknesses.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. (Matt 4:23)

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. (Matt 9:35)

We are so far behind where they were 2000 yrs ago, God have mercy on us.

God bless you,
Lisa

I agree with you Lisa because we have not truly preaching the gospel of the kingdom if the sick are not being healed and the power of God is not present to deliver people from every evil work of the devil.

Thank you jimdied2sin, and Hummhumm,

for taking the time to respond.

Also for the mentioning of the book 'the kingdom that turned the world
upside Down'...I would really like to read it. I wonder do I find it here
(Sermon Index) ,or online ?

The Kingdom of God is a very special subject to me.

I'll share a little of something that happened in my life ,..in around 1993 -4 ,...He kept drawing my very heart to do a study on 'The Kingdom of God' i

I was not being disrespectful, but thought,...' of all the wonderful things to
study,in the Word,....' why the Kingdom of God ' ?
Nevertheless I began compiling and compiling,...and was never quite
satisfied, for an answer,...so after so long I left that study and went on to
other studies, ... It was the Lord that caused me to be very hungry for the Word,...He was drawing me back to my first love.

I would get my work done each day, and would read the Word lots of the day ,while my family was gone to work. I just loved it.

Then some time later,..mabe a month or two,..when I went to rise one morning out of bed,...it just flowed out of my Spirit,...' The Kingdom of God is the Resurrected Lord IN us. '
I would never have worded anything like that.
I could not hardly wait to get my family breakfast and get them off to work so I could get to my ( concordance / Bible to confirm that Word.

I began to look up,..resurrection, raise ,raised, rise etc.,
He taught me , that the Kingdom of God comes in,by-way of the Holy Spirit
Lead,..guide , in the way of the King' will to rule,..be Lord in our lives.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the children of God.

and from there ,there is much more of His teachings on this.

It is getting late, ..so I need to go for now,..maybe talk more on this later.

Lovingly,..good night,
elizabeth

Yes Lysa,

Thank you,
I was thinking also where Jesus says,..' it is the Fathers good pleasure
to give you the kingdom' .
It is that guiding power of the Holy One with-in.
It is His Grace drawing us to His will, in His Kingdom.

*the Devine enflence upon the heart, and it's reflection in the life.

We are born again, we are but babies then, we are to take on our new name.( His name is Everything that He stands for,..all His righteous judgements) Rev. ',and His Name is called, the Word of God.'...Thy kingdom come in earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily Bread,....Hallow Thy Name .

We must be willing to be washed with the water of the Word in This
Kingdom,...The Holy Spirit has come to do a work in our heart,...
cercumsize our hearts,...cut away,..the cuting is severe,,it is against our norm,...flesh way / will ,..but He is the King, in THIS Kingdom of God.
It is , if ye abide in Me and My Words abide in you,...in other words,..
you Keep My Words, and don't throw them to the ground and keep your words,...keeping, holding on to His Words,..letting go of ours words/will/way.
Is this a ratical Kingdom, or what ?
Do we get a new name ,to bring honor to this new name that He has given us ?

Help us to bring honor to Your Great Name O'Lord.

Bless us with more of your Great Grace O'Lord,
elizabeth

Bearmaster and Rbanks,.

Thank you both reading / responding,..I appreciate you everyone.

Adding more on THIS gospel of the Kingdom of God,...of WHO ? ? ?
Of God ! .....God / Spirit WORD,..He who Speaketh, and it is done,...
Voice,...Breath of God,...Lord over the whole Heaven / Earth,.. KING ! !
This SAME,that was in our Precious Jesus ! Our KING ! .....Who was hated when He preached 'THIS gospel of the kingdom' His Words,/ WAY which He wanted all men to hear, ..brought an offense.

But what does the King over His Kingdom require ?

It is same as Paul West has been saying about ' MORTIFICATION '
It requires a death,to our will, in order for the Kings will to be done,...
A dieing to self, and a life, to Him.,...'he that keepeth not his life',...He offers us LIFE,..But will we CHOOSE our will,..which is death.

May He bless us all with more of His Grace,
Elizabeth

Thank you Jim and Christian,

for mentioning this book by David Bercot,I have ordered it and it should be here any day now.I look forward to reading it.

I read once that Evan Roberts preached a lot about 'the kingdom of God', but I have not been able to find anything that he has wrote, and do not know a lot about him.

Jesus taught me about the kingdom at His feet..like Mary, she was learning at the feet of Jesus......Jesus said then,'that no man could take His teachings, away from her.'

At the time,..I said,'Why the Kingdom of God ?
But now I know, that is the GREATEST thing He could have ever taught me.
It ties so much together.

In much love for you all,
elizabeth

"for mentioning this book by David Bercot,I have ordered it and it should be here any day now.I look forward to reading it."

Remember to test all things in it against the word of God. I know Bercot can drfit kind of far in one direction to counter balance error in the other in some instances.

The subject of :

' The Kingdom of God'

If this subject was forefront to John the Baptist,..then the forefront
to Jesus, and then on to His Diciples / Apposels,..should it not be
Utmost for us to see what is really being said / understood about
This gospel of Kingdom of God being preached,...that MUST be preached
through the whole world,...'and then shall the END come'.

I really believe sermon index will be used in helping with this very thing.

There are many gospels being preached, but Jesus precisely said
'THIS'....Gospel of the Kingdom of God '

As we study His so important and precious Word together,
In His love,
elizabeth

In Jn.3:3,Jesus says,' Verily,verily, I say unto thee,Except a man be born
again,he cannot 'SEE' the kingdom of God' .

Then in verse 5,He says, ' Verily, verily,I say unto thee,Except a man be
born of 'WATER' *AND* OF THE SPIRIT,he cannot 'ENTER' the kingdom of God.'

Is there a difference in just being able to SEE the kingdom of God,
......*AND*..to ' ENTER' therein ?

Is this at the STRAIT GATE (Mt.7:13),where Jesus says,'Enter in at the strait gate,...and verse 14, Because narrow is the gate, and hard is the way,
which leadeth unto >>>>> Life,....

Is it being washed in the WATER of the Word, and leaving our flesh ...old nature outside the gate ?

Is this where Life is ,....inside of the kingdom ? ...where the King rules,..
or in Lord over us ?...where He offers us Life ..?
( to be carnally minded is death,....to be Spiritualy minded is Life and
peace )

Some thought provoking thoughts,
All because of Him,
elizabeth

Hi! Elizabeth
It was a remarkable thing for me to read your statement saying : "The Kingdom of God is the Resurrected Lord IN us!".
I too would not have expressed it as such; a signature of my poor vocabulary no doubt. The statement contains such exciting and fathomless depth to it.
It is precisely the "Gospel of the Kingdom" which is the gospel OF Jesus and not merely about Jesus. It's not for nothing that it says that it is the 'Gospel of the Kingdom' which will be preached throughout the whole world before the end is nigh.
The problem I have discovered is that the term itself has become widely misused and abused by some emerging cults. They have unwittingly attached some bizarre and untenable ideas to it. So, one has to be especially cautious when, say, following Google results of the term.
Thankfully, there are very reputable studies available Online concerning the 'Gospel of the Kingdom'. I myself have been studying this vein of Scripture for at least 30 years now and there is alot more literature and multimedia available in these days than even five years previously.
May the Lord continue to abundantly reveal Himself and His Gospel to you.

Amen Elizabeth;

Colossians 1:11-13 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

He is our Glory, He is our Kingdom, He is our all in all.

Being translated into not just the Kingdom but into His very life that is birthed in us.

This wonderful mystery of Christ in us and His Kingdom which we are now by faith already seated with Christ in the heavenlies.

Colossians 1:25-29 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

He truly is our perfection and Glory.

How refreshing to hear the loving truth by the Spirit in you Elizabeth.

In Christ: Phillip
