Healing is a temporary solution.

We get sick and die because were mortal.
Even divine healing is temporary, we will eventually sleep.
We need resurrected and immortal bodies, that's the permanent solution.

Sick saints, hang in their, it's going be alright in the end. Every hair on your head is known to Abba, every tear will be wiped away, it's going to be okay.

Look, we're all sick and dying, just some of us are more aware of it than others.

Christ will give us new bodies that never get sick and die!

I dare say that we could have that today if we only believed! Yes, we will have to die but I don't read anywhere in the Bible where the saints of God have to die sick. Now, I do believe that we must change what we put into our bodies on a daily basis (I speak for myself) and eat more "natural" foods that has been around for 6000 years!

Healing "IS" the children's bread!

The older one gets the more aware you become of this reality. In the meantime one is called to redeem the time. I would suppose this would help in deterring, altering the intensity of the weakness inherent in the human body, especially in one that is wearing out.

Still, I am not aware of an post-apostalic writers who would have taught this and neither does the WORD - just that God can and does heal but not that it is a given or a guarantee it will happen.

AND if Christian dies because of an illness, how can he repent of his 'lack of faith' when he/she did trust the LORD? Lisa, don't you see this teaching generates more confusion then comfort? That this is based more on idealism then reality?

Lisa, I look at terminal illness as a blessing in disguise to the victim and his/her family. How? It is by warning these people this person will soon leave this life so he/she better get ready for that departure. AND if you don't and you go to hell you have no one else to blame but yourself! With terminal illness 'good-byes' can be said that will help the family deal with this loss. Been there, done that; seen it and they did it. Works wonderfully!

I was going to just ignore this thread but maybe I can offer something to it.

I understand some of what you are saying tobity!

I also would like to make something clear that when the Lord Jesus heals a person they experience His virtue. They experience something from the Lord rather it be physical or spiritual and it is never a temporary solution.

Jesus and His attributes are never a temporary solution and we should never look at anything He does for us as a temporary solution.

I am not accusing you of anything but I just felt to make that clear because I hate temporary solutions and that is what you will get if you are trusting in anything else but our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ.
