Even More Grace...

L
learjet Apr 30, 2012

Sometimes I read the posts on the forum and take them the wrong way, sometimes I write posts that could have been better articulated and they are (rightfully) taken the wrong way, sometimes even more grace is needed.

The written word is very hard to get across in the same spirit in which it is spoken, it's a very tough and at times unforgiving medium. As members we come from very different social and educational backgrounds and need extra grace to get through the barrier.

Hudson Taylor wrote about this very issue to his sister (I don't have the quote handy) but my prayer is that the Lord would enable me to be extra-graceful in reading AND writing here. I need grace, more than anything in the world, and so let me be the one to give more than I receive.

Sometimes I don't think of others first when I post here, I need to, I apologize, no excuses.

Brokenness is a wonderful thing :-)

Brother Earl my heart is with you on this because you are so right in what you say and I have felt the same way.

SI has been good for me because it has challenge me in areas I never knew of before and I have prayed to be able to communicate in writing because it is hard for me to write out what I really feel to say.

Thank you for this post and your gracious comments!

Magnificent post dear brother. May this same lowly spirit be wrought in us all here, beginning in me first. Transparency. Humility. A willingness to concede.

O Lord, make us more like Christ.

Thank you for the mature example.
