God Has Provided Your Healing

Healing and salvation are part of the same package. The same blood that brought salvation also brought healing. God does not have to do another thing for anyone to be saved it's up to them to receive Jesus as their Lord and saviour just as it's up to you to receive healing. You have to see healing as a finished work of the cross. When Jesus said on the cross, "It is finished", he was not just referring to salvation(redeeming of your spirit), but healing also (1Peter 2:24). Every person who is not saved has salvation waiting on them to receive and every person who needs healing has healing waiting on them to receive. What some people do is let their feeling or senses tell them whether or not they are healed, but the word is the truth.

Someone may not understand how someone can say you are healed while sickness is in their body so let me explain, God counts a thing done when the provision is made. Let's say you come to me hungry and I give you a plate of food, God counts that as me feeding you. But, notice the provision that was made did not take away the hunger and until you receive it you stay hungry. The food is right there ready to be taken in. Let me give you an example using healing as in the case of the 10 lepers in Luke 17:12-14, they cried out "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us" and Jesus said, "Go show yourselves unto the priests" and as they went, they were cleansed. Now let's break this down, they had a need because it says they cried out and Jesus said, "Go show yourselves unto the priests" that was Jesus supplying their need and as they went or as they responded to what was supplied they received their healing. Well, didn't God speak and tell you that by Jesus stripes you were healed. But, notice even though the provision was made there was no change in their bodies until they believed and responded.

Well, how do I respond today to receive my healing someone may ask. Let's look at Romans 10:10 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." With your heart you believe and with your mouth you confess. That word salvation does not just refer to being born again, it also means healing in the Greek Concordance. Your mouth plays a major role in you receiving your healing. Proverbs 12:18 says "The tongue of the wise is health." That word health is translated medicine. Your words, God's word on healing in your mouth is how you recover from sickness and disease. Your words has an influence on your body. You return God's word to him and they will accomplish (Isa. 55:11). You believe that by Jesus stripes you are healed and you patiently confess that and you will receive your healing. Hold fast to your confession of faith (Hebrews 10:23).

The same blood that brought salvation also brought healing.

This is a truth for sure. But it does require faith to be healed on this basis, even as it required faith to believe in Christ's shed blood for forgiveness of sin.

In the churches those who are said to have a gift of healing are mostly held in high regard and they may even live like kings on their testimony. Many such brethren lay responsibility to be healed on this very truth you have shown. Sometimes these brethren are held in such high regard that they lose sight of Who it was that made forgiveness and healing possible in the first place. Sometimes they are accredited with having an anointing as well.

My ernest hope for all the churches is that God would raise men up who firstly have a testimony, then an anointing and finally visible and real spiritual authority.

When the 12 and others first realised that they could heal others in Jesus name they were amazed. Of course Jesus Himself had sent them and He was with them, keeping them. So it was an easy matter. They were learning something which was really true. That in the name of Jesus men can be healed. When Peter healed the man at the gate, he looked 'straight' at him (authority) and then 'spoke' (authority) and the man was healed (reality).

I truly believe that this was a small matter for Peter because his authority to so speak had already been established. There is a post here on SI where a man is 'loosing' his faith because of this very point. We all want to see reality in our own lives and through our lives. We fall and stumble daily and we know it.

The day is coming when we will all be given a final opportunity to lay hold of the full reality of Christ so as to walk. May that day come soon. Amen.

God bless you brother FranklinB!

There is truth in your post but we must remember God does nothing a part form the Holy Ghost. I may have overlooked it but I didn't see any mention of the Holy Spirit.

We must remember that positive confession alone does not accomplish the will of God but the will of God must be enforced by the Holy Spirit.

For example one can say all the scripture and right words that he wants to, but a part form the will of the Holy Spirit it will not happen. You cannot use God's words to do your own will. If one regards iniguity in their heart the Lord will not hear.

Blessings...from brother rbanks

Thank you rbanks for reading this article. And yes the Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Godhead at work on the earth today. And even though I didn't mention it even from the beginning of time the Spirit moves at the word of God. The Spirit is his power in the earth today and he responds to the word. Thanks!
