Fifth Sunday of Easter
Watchword for the Week - Jesus says, "Abide in me as I abide in you.
Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the
vine, neither can you unless you abide in me." John 15:4

Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, "My way is hidden from the
Lord, and my right is disre-garded by my God"? Isaiah 40:27
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have
had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 1 Peter 1:6 (NIV)
Jesus, Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith, wherever we have been, you
have been there, too. In whatever trials, darkness, confusion or grief
we find ourselves, lead us. Amen.
