OK, i have never, never, never understood the story of Balaam. Because Numbers22: 20-22 contradicts itself! Can someone please explain?
It says in verse 20: And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which i shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.
In verse 21: And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the prince of Moab.
Verse 22: And God's anger was kindled because he went (!!!): and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
PRAY TELL, WHY WAS GOD ANGRY WITH BALAAM FOR GOING WHEN HE JUST GOT DONE TELLING HIM TO GO???????????
For the life of me i have never understood a single thing in this entire story. Why God was angry with him for going nor why God was angry with him later, since he never did curse the people like Balak wanted him to. What am i missing?
