The Lie!

I have been going through some rough times but while I walk them I have learned that Christ is in control and satan has no actual power. Satan is a deciever to the very core and it is is go to weapon when he attacks our friends, family, and church. As I look at his main tactic and the lie that he tells all to often we can see it stems from all sorts of unholy living and leads one down a path of destruction. A majority of the world believes this lie and the majority that believes it will not see the better side of eternity. I type this now to simply get this out there and get these thoughts off of my heart, I have no intention of looking or appearing like I have mastered some great truth but rather humbly stumbled upon a terrible lie.

What is the lie? Satan's first words to Eve reveal "Surely you won't die" So what lie does this reveal? It exposes the lie that we as a human race don't have to take God's instructions seriously and that God really doesn't care about holiness. Eve fell and shortly after so did Adam and we see today that man still doen't take God's word seriously. It's all love and happiness for the human race and yet we find so many people miserble and unhappy. It is because they have unbalanced view of God, the Seraphim and Cherabim before God do not cry God is Love, Love, Love BUT God is Holy, HOly, Holy! Yet we still find that people want the easiest path. The path of least resistance, and I assure you such a path is not the Narrow way that leads to Heaven.

I have noticed this a lot in recent weeks.

I see many on FB post cute sayings that indicate God will lighten their distress because he loves them but there is never a word of repentance - never. The concept of sin, repentance, holiness is never mentioned. Granted this may not feel good, but is this not the reality? Those who walk with the LORD do find within ourselves flesh that struggles for the preeminence in our lifestyle, our choices and this needs to experience a daily crucifixion.

Is it not interesting how life has disproven the concept of "Positive Thinking" as being seriously flawed? It gets repackaged constantly, but still the same ole thing at its core - "I can lift myself up by my own bootstraps if I utter the magical words..." It may work for a while but soon one finds it unworkable and then there ensues another search for some magical words....

If a body would accept, apply the simple WORD of God it would simplify life considerably. But the devil has convinced too many otherwise.
