Does God help us avoid sin?

For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. Gal 5:17

Thankfully God does indeed help those who love him resists sin in their flesh. Indeed it is he very substance of proof that we have the Spirit. When we see other brethren stumbling into sin we have at least one encouragement to lay at their feet. God Himself will wrestle with your flesh and this so that you might not do the things you would. We can also warn them by showing them from Scripture that their flesh will always wrestle against the Spirit and that they need to come to an understanding as to how that conflict is resolved. It is the cross.
