We have decided for now until we can properly integrate a search into the website that we would refer people to this solution:
Q. Where is the search on SermonIndex?
Answer. We currently do not offer a search on the SermonIndex site but ask that you simply search google.com. Google bots update 1000's of pages a day so this is the best method using an operator of this site with: search phrase site:sermonindex.net for example here is a search you would put in google: a.w. tozer sermons site:sermonindex.net

Well then my next question is Why did you remove that functionality from your site? What problem was it causing? It just seems like things either disappear or break (like the quote button in the forums) and aren't replaced or fixed. Quite odd.

The reason for removing functionalities from the site is to streamline the site to load better primarily. The search function was built for a smaller site so it has become to server intensive how it is now. We are looking into adding google into the site in the future.
We do have a short list of code changes needed on the site including the quote feature. thank you for your patience.
Thank you for your kindly response Greg. I just want to inform our users that the best way to search SermonIndex on Google (if they don't already know this) is either:
1) Go to Google advanced search at:
http://www.google.ca/advanced_search
Enter your search terms and then down by the line that says "site or domain" enter sermonindex.net in that box. Then further down hit the Advanced Search button.
2) Go to regular Google search at www.google.com
after entering your search term(s) in the search box, leave a space and type site:sermonindex.net
There are no spaces anywhere from the beginning s in site to the last t in net. This accomplishes the same thing as method one but is easy to forget if you don't do it much.
The search results you get will only be from SermonIndex
