lonliness

Hi Scot,I noticed you live in Perth. I am presently staying in Perth with my daughter and also have been looking for a church. Have been to several ones, but so far have found them along the line of social gatherings. I can relate to what every one has said here feeling this lonliness, and at times it is difficult, but I think it is building patience and endurance in me and also causing me to go to the Lord every day instead of relying on anyone else, and in doing so I thank Him for hearing my prayers... learning to wait upon the Lord. The peace I am experiencing is truly wonderful. Oswald Chambers wrote his view on the subject of lonliness. Here is just a bit of he said:-Quote:-Jesus has said "I will never leave you, nor forsake you". We may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear" Hebrews 13:5,6)We should not despair when we go through the valleys, but if we learn to cast ourselves on God we are overcomers and children of faith. Faith needs to be educated and sometimes the schooling is done in these valleys where lonliness can try to overcome us, but we learn that we can overcome through Christ's power in our life.End of quote.I really do pray that we all can enter into the understanding of the "ways" of God more in our lives and that we shall be enabled by the Grace of God to count it "a priveledge" to be drawn apart away from the crowds to fellowship with Jesus our only true and faithful friend and Saviour. :-)
