We often know about God but no longer have a vital relationship with Him. God stands outside our daily life, no longer relevant to us. If this is a picture of your spiritual life, it is high time you turned over a new leaf; otherwise you could find yourself in the same situation as the rich farmer in Jesus’ parable.

He worked and also made provision for his future without reference to God. Perhaps God will say to you as well, ‘This night your soul is required of you.’ How will you be able to stand before God if you are not rich in your relationship with Him?
