With so may "political" threads going it seems obvious, to me at least, that there is WAY, WAY, WAY to much energy being expended by many christians on things that simply are of no eternal importance. Not a single Bible verse can I find that tells me to get politically activated. In fact quiet the opposite. Our king; kingdom and government are of another place and world.
Brought to mind this great piece of lyricism. Touched my heart...maybe it will yours as well.

This is such an accurate depiction of what the church has become as it wallows in a political conversation that does little more than destroy its credibility with the world. No wonder much of the world has now discredited the church... look at what they see as an example.
