Dear Sree, I'd like to pray with you over this promotion to leadership.
The pictures of "Jello" molds came to my mind. Don't know if all men know what Jello molds are, but the thought that seemed to come with it was that, The LORD doesn't leave us where we are but will re-work and stretch us sometimes by situations that cause us to need to depend on Him all the more -- or more and more.
It seems that the only way that He can show us what He can do that we cannot do, is to put us into entirely different life-situations. If He kept us in the same environments where we are familiar with the pressures, we don't really grow. But if He feels that our faith and dependency on Him needs growth - off He sends us to what seems like Mission Impossible to our human hearts.
I'm just wondering if you may not feel that this may be the case. To see that GOD sometimes needs to change the Jello mold that we've been in because He needs to change us through challenging changes, in order to cause us to see that it's not up to us to fit ourselves into these new molds but that only by becoming more pliable by trust and acceptance, that we suddenly find that He knows what He's doing by forcing the change to another mold.
He doesn't ask us to be super-men -- just 'servants' to mankind.
It's humbling to be a servant to those who are, in the secular world, are to be subordinate to us, or where we're to be "in charge" --- but GOD intends for it to be humbling and not a position to make us more confident in our own abilities. We can get too comfortable and not want to be tested to strengthen our trust through dependence on Him to be The One that's transforming us through circumstances. Romans 8:29 is For 29 and He's called us to be servants to humankind. That can be a very tough mold to fill. We're stretched "out of shape" of our natural self and the challenge is trying indeed.
Growth always hurts, as well as change of environment, but I know He forces both on us for His and our good to be more conformed to His Image and not our own thoughts of who we are or who we wanted to be or stay - but what He sees that we'll need to be in the future, for service to mankind FOR The King.
To "do all things as unto The LORD" is the greatest test that I believe that there is and being a servant to those that the working world claims are supposed to be 'under' our 'leadership' could surely be the test to see if we are willing to be made conformable to the Image of GOD as Christ. He emptied Himself of all power and washed the feet that He had Created. Wow, talk about taking on a different Jello mold. :)
Bless you Sree. Will pray His Perfect Will for you and that you'll know what that will is, for certain ... not saying that I know that for you - only know my own experiences with the stretching of my faith, trust, desire to be/or not be humbled through the major changes in environments that He's put me through. I've loudly complained to Him enough times - "LORD, No more different Jello molds - I can't take anymore."
I can laugh a bit about that now, but I'm Sure He has a few more different ones prepared for me to be shaped into in the future, against my desires but in His Will. Oh boy! ):
His Peace & Love to you, my Brother!
