they tell me of a man.

I was told of a man who used to live in my community, He believed either you where predestined to Heaven or predestined to Hell and that there was nothing one could do to change his destiny. He did not believe he was destined to heaven but rather destined to Hell, they tell me that he died in that state.

What are your thoughts??

My thoughts? He believed a lie.

PaPa, the Word has a Greek word that means - "people believe what they want to believe"

No matter how many verses that you show some folks that have that word "whosoever" in it - they'll still argue against those.

They'll take Romans 9-11 that is speaking about "those that GOD foreknew" - about the Jews, and make predestination out of those chpts.

It's a shame that we've had far too many arguments here on this split in beliefs.

It can be explained by the words in the N.T. "foreknew" Rom 8:20 & 11:2, "foreknowledge" 1Peter 1:2, and showing that "predestined" is used toward us being predestined 'to' something after we're saved.

But, it's true that people do believe what they want to believe and that man that didn't get saved, won't be able to blame anyone for not being saved. Even unsaved believe what they want to believe so that they can blame GOD.
Like the woman blamed the serpent and Adam blamed Eve. Same human nature in all - that still choose to blame.

Blessed night.
