Bone Cancer UPDATE

Dear SI praying friends,

I just found out that my dear friend Fran has been diagnosed with bone cancer. The Lord has already healed her from a previous bout with cancer but it has returned in a form the honeycombs her bones. I ask that prayers ad petitions be made for her. She has washed the feet of the saints and opened her home to those in need for many years. I have been greatly blessed by her selfless love of saints.

UPDATE: Fran passed in the past week. I don't know the details yet.

Hmmm....now it may be time for others to wash her feet?!

May I suggest she call the elders to come in for an anointing with oil - to commit this illness to the LORD for his supervision/healing...

Then the Lord never healed her, she just went into remission.
In the scriptures when Jesus healed someone did he ever do a half-baked job? Am saddened and sorry for you and your friend. Will offer up my feeble prayers for her. It is a sad, sad world.

I contacted Fran's daughter for an update. They are being tentative and want to make sure in their diagnosis so would have to remove some bone marrow to check and want to put Fran on chemo. However, she is 85 and not in good enough health for that. Actually, in her last bout with cancer, she didn't take the chemo either.

I forgot one thing. The doctors actually believe it is blood cancer and not bone cancer.

I just got this in an email.

Please be in prayer for Fran and [her daughter].  Fran is at a place where she is needing more and more care.  Please pray for [her daughter] as she is trying to balance her need to work (subbing) and her mother's care.  And also pray for Fran, for comfort and peace.
