Church hit by lightning and burns

I saw this story on the weather channel at work today. I wondered to myself if this was an Act of God or a freak or nature. Some Christian believe that everything happens for a reason and there is no such thing as good or bad luck. For those who believe that I want to ask you what you think of this church and the story therein.
