Mathew 18:19-20
Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done foyou by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them
Thee verses speak powerful truth regarding prayer. Jesus is saying that is few as two people can affect the outcome of an event through prayer. Simply coming and being in agreement and asking. This is what our Savr is teaching.
Lately the question has been asked why a call? I am praying for the conference in the prayer closet. So why do we need a weekly conference call? Why take up valuable space on the board and keep posting about these Sunday calls? We are praying for the conference privately. Does not God hear those prayers
Let me try to answer those questions. Yes, God does hear the righteous in the prayer closet. Praise God he does. James 5 teaches that the prayers of a righteous man are powerful and effective. So for those are upholding the Sermon Index Conference in private prayer. Thank you and much blessing on you. Your prayers are heard by God and will have an impact.
But why a weekly con call. Aren't private prayers enough? Saints in all honesty we need more prayer. Both corporate and private. Because of the gravity of the conference theme and what the church will be facing a conference call seemed expedient. I remember last year the con calls that were held monthly and how last year's conference was prayed over. And look how powerful it was
Thus it seemed expedient that a conference call be initiated to cover this upcoming event. Given the topic of the church and upcoming persecution, it seemed even more expedient a weekly con call. When I emailed Greg to see if one was in the works. He asked if I would coordinate it. Since there was a number and access code already in place it seemed expedient to select a night and run with the call
Saints the purpose of the Sunday night call is to be a venue where we come together and pray for the conference and the church. Doing this in agreement with one heart and mind.
I suppose I could say more but hope this explanation suffices as to the weekly con calls. May I say through Greg and others we are working to have godly men lead these calls off. This is not a Bearmaster event but a Christ Jesus event as he, and he alone is the master of ceremonies on these calls.

Saints one more thing. These calls are conducted in a spirit of service. Just as these brothers are giving of tbeir time to come and speak at this conference. They feel compelled to do this because of the message. So it is with these calls. I am recieving no personal gain from these calls. But believe in my heart that this conference needed to be sown and bathed in prayer.
I know some have called my motives into question. I know some are saying I am advocating religion. I doubt anything I say will convince you otherwise. But until Greg tells me otherwise or God takes me home I will fulfill this task with God's help.
