Channels of Life - Watchman Nee

Always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body. 2 Corinthians 4.10.

Since we are channels of life, we must not be blocked by anything lest, like water that is clogged in its channel, the life of God cannot pass through us. The work of the cross is to open us up—to rid us of all that belongs to Adam and the natural order so that others may receive the life of the Holy Spirit. By being filled with the Holy Spirit, our spirit is able to bear the cross of Christ continuously. And once filled with the Holy Spirit and possessing the life of the cross, we will then be used by God’s Spirit to have issued from us that life of the cross to the people around us. We will spontaneously diffuse life in our conversation and our talk—whether private or public—so as to enrich those with whom we have contact.

This is right on time, again.
My favorite message from Eric Ludy, "Spiritualized Selfishness" rings with truth and this truth that Nee brought us with his writings.
It's a very exciting life to put self to death and just realize that Everyone that crosses our path each day is a divine appointment -- sometimes just an act of kindness and a prayer - at that least. I truly don't believe that as I go out my door, that the people that come near at the store or anywhere else is a happenstance. As Nee said, in what you posted, "we will spontaneously diffuse Life ..... "
Diffuse HIM to those we see, if our eyes are off of our self. Grateful to Nee, Ludy and others that teach this so clearly. The eyes of our FOCUS off of self and unto Him to provide what is to be "diffused" - as He walked, for 'others-only-always'.
The opposing forces lie, saying, No, you've left your house to go take care of business and you need to think what you've got to do the rest of today - your other chores and all. But that's not true. HE glides you through those other things while He flows His life out of you to others. Like being on auto-pilot. Our chores out in the world or home get done while our mind is constantly focused on and talking to Him - getting directions. Praise The LORD, Brother and thank you for posting truth!

Amen Sister! I am more excited about Jesus Christ today and the life that He lives through me than I was 40 years ago when I first received that divine life. Every day can be an adventure when self is out of the way, and we become a channel for the life of God to minister to others.
