Can someone tell me why...

Can someone tell me why a preacher will help a stranger in need and NOT a member of his family( mother, son, wife, daughter, or brother )?

Maybe the best way to find the answer to that question would be to ask that preacher his reasons.

Maybe you could give an example of what you mean.

It would make things clearer.

Everyones different I found a preacher that refused to help the stranger that was homeless.

Probably because they don't like them for some reason or another. This just is not true of preachers it is true for everyone.

If you want to really know, do what another poster suggested, ask him.

A rabbit trail...

Occasionally you will see a person stand at a busy intersection holding a sign saying, "will work for food". People have offered them work but it is a no-go. In the meantime they will be sitting there smoking. Most of us do not have money to burn. I have been told these guys haul in a lot of money at the end of the day because they play on people's sympathies/guilt by looking, acting poor.

The question that dogs an honest person is,"Who are the poor?" Scripture also says that if you do not work you should not eat.

Then I have had clients who talk so poor that leaves one wondering where the truth is in this tale. They will deny they are a run-away; they do not want God...I reckon they just have not fed the pigs long enough...

As said by others, I think that any answer we give would just be speculation on our part. No one here can answer your question you need to ask this person this question.

what business is it of yours? why do people consern themselves with what others do? do you not have enuf in your own life to pay attention to?

I asked this question out of anger, I shouldn't have. It just bothers me to see someone hurting ,I want to help . I am just trying to figure out how I can.
