WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT THIS?..170 MILLION HUNGRY BABES.

sermonindex Aug 11, 2012

"There are an estimated 170 million children worldwide who go hungry on a daily basis.

One of the worst affected countries is India.

Despite having a fast-growing economy, 40% of its children are malnourished.

Andrew North reports from Madhya Pradesh in central India.

India’s battle with malnutrition.

This is horrid, BrotherTom!

I spend many evenings perusing through Int'l Christian orphanage websites with my hand over my mouth...

...though I have no children, I am a credentialed teacher (I suppose) and have such a deep and secret desire to go and live and work in one of these orphanages as a teacher and house parent. Like as a permanent post.

The desire overwhelms me. Sigh...I will visit the link you posted and have my convictions further tested.

Thank you for bringing this to the forefront of our awareness!

Love-in-Christ,

KP

BrotherTom,

I watched the story. Why in the world are millions of bags of grain being stored in warehouses instead of being distributed?

If you know of anymore links to this kind of information, I'd appreciate it.

Love-in-Christ,

Brother K.P. Yohannan has written a book about such young children: http://nolongeraslumdog.org

You can order it free here: http://www.gfa.orgc/book/

He has a vision to see over 200,000 children feed and taken care of and the gospel shared with them, which many times results in their families coming to the Lord.

consider donating today: http://www.gfa.org/donation/

Amazing!

I just found a website today (completely by "accident") for the "Bethel Evangelistic and Rehabilitation Centre" and was sooooo impressed by the testimony of the Dass family and the service they provide to Christ's Beloved.

Then, I found the following quote from Rev. Dass:

"Then, How did I educate my children and live? There were friends like Dr. K.P. Yeohannan of Gospel for Asia"

Hey, I thought! I've heard of this man! He is one of the moderators of SI! Neat! What a coincidence, saints!

Don't laugh at me, saints - but I've been praying (well, I'm not going to reveal what I've been praying, for it is between me and Him, in this instance)...but, boy did this experience answer my prayer.

This site is blessed.

Love-in-Christ,

KP
