The believers in that part of the world need our prayers and possible help very much. Pray , pray, pray for them to be strengthened and kept safe within God's protecting hand.
Some may be called to stay and be a witness. Some may be called to be martyred there. However, as some recent threads have pointed out, it is often true in scripture that we are to flee persecution.
I would suggest that church leaders, and those with a heart for the persecuted church, might pray about possibly taking steps to help some of them relocate. I am not sure exactly what that would entail or require. However, it would seem an extremely timely and critical thing to pray about and possibly take action on.
Praying for His mercy for them right now!
But where would they relocate too? We believe a time is comig that persecution will come upon our shores. Soon there will be no city of refuge left for one to flee to.
The only sure refuge is found in the Lord. God grant that we stand in the fires of persecution to be faithful witnesses of Christ. Even if it cost our lives.
