I have always found evangelism difficult, in that I have never felt comfortable with the way that I've seen it done through the years. Although that was the type of "evangelism" I saw all of my life, I never have felt right about trying to get people into a "decision for Christ" for the very reasons that Paul Washer brings out in this video.
Now that I have been preaching more, in the last few years, I do it like Brother Washer: I simply preach the gospel and leave it with them. I tell them that if they ever want to pray and seek God, I am always available.
I don't want the blood of anyone on my hands for having led them to a "decision" that was not prompted by the Holy Ghost from inside their own hearts! If He is not involved, there is no real salvation.
