i'm all alone......but i'm not.

sermonindex Sep 1, 2012

please allow me to briefly share a testimony of my time with Jesus this morning.

i was up at 3;30 AM, with coffee and communing with God, instead of getting right into the Word, i was still waking up, i listened to a exhortation from Duncan Campbell.

then i went to the front porch, i live in the wildwoods, the nearest town has 700 souls, and two churches, one a mainline protestant, the other an offbeat pentecostal, i speak no ill of them, just giving background.

So i'm on the porch sipping coffee, in Lamentations 2, and God puts me to my knees.

i've been alone with Him now, up here, on this ridge for over a year.

i yearn for revival, and am believing for it. Now God is sovereign in revival, and as has been past testimonies, travailing prayer is the preceding ordinance, when God pours Living Waters on a dry and thirsty ground.

i have been seeking and asking God to send me a human prayer partner...nothing wrong with that, but something MARVELOUS happened about an hour ago, Jesus came to me, and said, "neily, I will be your Prayer Partner".

what transpired next, no human words will do justice, except to say, i am filled with Joy and Joy inexpressible!.....or as the Psalmist prophesied:

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless His Holy Name!

i'm NOT ALONE! ...and may God give the increase, revival will come to this district in the driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin! amen.

all too well, i know RIGHT where you are at.

a month ago, time fails, but family turmoil, the enemy just pummeling my family, the phone calls i got, the powerlessness i felt, impotentence, literally drove me into BED (!) for three straight days! crying out the simplest of prayer, "God help us!"...thats all i could pray, as darkness closed around me, it was a literal hell.

and in these jars of clay, there will be those times, we know this...we also know the Great Promise of the Heavenly Jerusalem.

Paul knew and felt as such as well, the Epistle to the Philippians, that dear saint was locked in a dirty stinking roman dungeon, yet this Epistle is called the Epistle of JOY!!!....and in it, Paul's deliberating which better, to go be with Jesus or to stay here for a while, encouraging US, to think upon the pure things.

and as dear a vessel as Paul is, the same blood that flowed thru his veins, the same Blood that covered him, covers you, me, all of us....and that is Good News!

so beloved sister, when God the Holy Ghost leads you, just ask Jesus for that Privledge...He IS the Yes and Amen, and He is Faithful.

May the Peace that transcends all understanding cascade into your heart, is my prayer, amen, neil

Oh Neil thank you for your kind words and heart. I changed my previous most because I felt like my words were so focused on self and I did not, do not want to rob you of any of the joy FATHER is giving you right now. I appreciate what you shared here with me I am sorry for my post if I rained down on any of your joy. I don't want to keep being selfish like that so please forgive me.

Again thank you for sharing regardless of my previous words I really do find it encouraging to read the great things that our FATHER is doing in the lives of HIS children.

God Bless

MJ, i beg you, hold not back one word, what your heart speaks....i consider it an honor in Christ to pray for you and your kin, just as i would pray for my own kin.....we are all KIN, we share Joy, we share suffering, even though it be over the internet. in Jesus' love, neil

Beautiful, Neil!

Glad you shared.

Yesterday I experienced something similar when writing on "The Sayings of Jesus" thread about how much love there is between the Father and the Son. I felt so overwhelmed - it was as though a curtain had parted ever so briefly and I got a glimpse of it.

Amazing the impact it has on a body when one gets a glimpse of God's glory, his majesty...

thank you Ginnyrose!

a Precious Moment, and i look forward to more Blessed Communion with Jesus.

i will go on record right now by saying this, and this is just me, i do find it so profitable, and wonderful to seek God in the pre-dawn hours...the more "pre", for me, the better! 3:30 AM?....oh Bless God! he frequently gets me up at that time....the world is quiet, and hushed.

Len Ravenhill said something i take to heart, he was talking about some pastor or preacher man saying he needed a vacation, Len said, "no you need a cave.......be still and know that I am God".....i like that, as the human spirit has such a hard time, just settling down, being still. God bless you down in Miss. neil
