hell In The Well?

Y
Yeshuasboy Sep 2, 2012

I don't know if this was ever discussed here or not - where Siberian scientists bored into the earth, & heard awful screams therein.
I came across this last night: http://hellandheaventestimonies.wordpress.com/2011/03/28/scientist-who-dug-into-hell-in-siberia-and-recorded-the-cries-of-the-damned-souls/
I came across it after listening to Reg Kelly's sermon titled "Hell of Hell" on the www.sermonaudio.com website, where, near the end of his message, he began to speak concerning this supposed event that he himself heard about before.

Here's a link to Reg Kelly's sermon: http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=3104122216
He starts discussing this about the 30th min into about the 40th minute of his sermon (although, I believe, the whole message is worth listening to).

Old urban legend:

Does anyone here believe hell is actually somewhere inside the earth?

Y
Yeshuasboy Sep 2, 2012

Honestly,I don't really know if hell is inside the earth right now; however, the points that Mr Kelly bring up in his sermon are rather interesting; & I for one, have no legitimate grounds based on Scripture to find a flaw in what Mr Reg Kelly said.
However, I do believe, & know there is one, & that to me is a blessing from God, & that is good enough for me - God says there's a hell, then there's a hell.

I think hell is somewhere way out yonder in God's vast universe, why? Because if some here on earth don't change their ways, hell will fill up, and I don't think the real hell has a problem in filling up. Why were on hell, were is heaven? the word says Jesus is the only one that's even been to Heaven, maybe Heaven and paradise are the same, I don't know, but the word uses to different names, Heaven and paradise, are they the same place?

I listened to this sermon by Reggie Kelly.
Very in-depth and seriousness for this hour,..we hardly hear this type preaching. Don't you think he is really preaching 'The Gospel of the Kingdom / heaven' ?....that there are two kingdom ?and both are PREPARED by God,...one or the other for us to go into ? WARNINGS,...if you will...? For the kingdom of darkness and for the kingdom of Light,...
a place! where will it be ?

Recalling Jesus' sermon (the Gospel) on the mount, not lite-ness....,but LIGHT and depth and in it's very serious gospel,....preparing us to/how to live/have Life in the kingdom of God,...follow/submit/led.

Testimony: I was in the hospital this year for a couple of days,..the TV was
on,...it may have been 'The Discovery Channel'..? They were showing
volcanos erupting,...red hot larva flowing down the mountains / hills. And I thought: The Devil / hell is restless, and is just burping up this hot stuff.

My thoughts were about my unforgiveness.I had been done wrong, and I allowed my heart to become hardened,..became imprisoned with it,..and just COULDNOT forgive, although I knew it was A MUST that I do.I had already been asking God to help me with this before I got here.
Well when I saw all this hot larva running down,it came to me,..'this,where
This is coming from is hell,..from the center of the earth, and that is where YOU WILL BE,if you do not forgive. So I determined in my heart THEN that
I would not talk about it,..not dicuss it, (what was done to me),..not think about it ,and to call the ones and ask forgiveness for allowing the bitterness
and the discussion of such to stay in my heart. So that is what I was faithful to do when I got home. And you know what,? The Lord set me free !

Yes,
Actually, I really do believe Hell is in the center of the earth,...although I may not be right. But Pastor, don't you believe the Lord, who knows the end from the beginning, could have planned and prepared the right sized place in the center of the earth, from the beginning ? That we do not know all His ways, but we do know all His Way [ s] is perfect.

Thank you again,
God Bless,
elizabeth

Fortunately and Unfortunately I remember something like this being brought up on TBN some years ago when I used to watch 'Praise the Lord' at night. Can a person really say Hell is in the center of the Earth just because they think they were howls of people? All this is is trying to make physical something that is spiritual. It would be like saying Heaven is in the clouds because if we were to here singing going on above our heads and wondered where it came from. Someone would say the heavens are singing to us and point to the clouds as heaven.

This is a fun concept to read about but in the end we would be wasting out time in pursuing it for edification.

Matthew 12:40
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the (heart of the earth).

Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in (hell), neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption

Acts 2:31
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in (hell), neither his flesh did see corruption

As Reg pointed out in this sermon modern translations have taken the word Hell out of many of its scriptures, The NIV totally has taken Hell out of the Old Testament

But "hell" is not a Hebrew of Greek word.

Why not just allow the orginal words stand without being translated into the word "hell?"

It is more helpful to understand what the original words translated as "hell" actually mean (or meant) (gehenna, tartarus, hades, sheol), than to complain that some translations leave out the word "hell."

Hi TMK,

RE: TMK wrote ///But "hell" is not a Hebrew of Greek word.

That is what the new world translation has done.

When my Wife was in Bible College one of Her religious Bible professors taught his students that the concept of Hell was borrowed from the pagan religions of the new testament days and that there was no hell in the old testament. They all used NIVs and he proved his point using an NIV
