Please I'd like anyone to help get the name of the Preacher who preached the sermon designated SID0047 here on Sermonindex.

I downloaded long ago and wil like more of the Man's sermons since this one has been a blessing to me.

If anyone also knows the lyrics of d hymn "Pour out the supplicating Grace, then we in Thy Spirit groan" and where I may get d mp3 file online, I'd appreciate if you'll share with me.

Hi that hymn is called :
Jesu, thou sovereign Lord of All by Wesley.

I am trying to find a place which will give you an MP3 download for it.

I am not sure about the sermon you wanted help with. Maybe you should contact the help area on the website as I don't think you can do a search for sermons with the number you have provided.

You can email me the file to see if I recognise it though. Just click on my profile link to get my email.

Here are the words to that Hymn :

1 JESU, thou sovereign Lord of all,
The same through one eternal day,
Attend thy feeblest followers' call,
And O instruct us how to pray!
Pour out the supplicating grace,
And stir us up to seek thy face.

2 We cannot think a gracious thought,
We cannot feel a good desire,
Till thou, who call'dst a world from nought,
The power into our hearts inspire;
And then we in thy Spirit groan,
And then we give thee back thine own.

3 Jesus, regard the joint complaint
Of all thy tempted followers here,
And now supply the common want,
And send us down the Comforter,
The spirit of ceaseless prayer impart,
And fix thy Agent in our heart.

4 To help our souls infirmity,
To heal thy sin-sick people's care,
To urge our God-commanding plea,
And make our hearts a house of prayer,
The promised Intercessor give,
And let us now thyself receive.

5 Come in thy pleading Spirit down
To us who for thy coming stay;
Of all thy gifts we ask but one,
We ask the constant power to pray;
Indulge us, Lord, in this request,
Thou canst not then deny the rest.

Dear Brethren,

This is not Alan Redpath, it is actually T. Austin-Sparks. I listened to excerpts of his sermons before, thus I could recognize his voice. Plus, I used to do impressions of his voice...hehe :D

Your Servant of Jesus' Name,

Thanks Brother Micheal... Thanks also Brother Jerry for providing us with d Download link. Guess I may not need to upload it for Brother David anymore.

@Bro Micheal, I wont be surprized if that sermon was preachd by T A Sparks. His text sermons have blown my mind. Its midnight already here in d Tropics, and am stil awake reading his sermon "ataining unto d first three" in PDF format. Got it here in SI.

T A Sparks & Alan Redpath are worth hearing. I just bless God who has given such gifts to d Sons of Men.

You can also get any or all of the books that he wrote (or sermons that were transcribed) for free from here - http://www.austin-sparks.net/. They have all his audio as well and they will send that in mp3 as well.

I would highly recommend "The School Of Christ" book if you wanted to start with one.

Enjoy
