Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

I received this email from a prayer partner. I have not yet heard back from an Orthodox Rabbi friend who lives just outside of Jerusalem. I don't have a TV and don't see anything on the Internet about this. I have just cut and pasted the email here.

Interesting insight from 'someone on the ground.'

There is and has been all year a lot on the internet news about Israel attacking Iran's nuclear facilities.
If you look at the Israeli news sites such as Jerusalem Post and Israel Today (www.israeltoday.co.il) you will see this is a major talking point.

Considering that that this Wednesday is Yom Kippur and next week is the Feast of Tabernacles, if Israel were to act before the US election it would have to be some time in October I think...but who knows?

Father I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I ask that you forgive America for not standing for Israel. She is the apple of your eye. Father give us your eyes to see and your ears to hear what you are saying to us. Father release the Isacchar anointing in JESUS name.

Yesterday (Wednesday) was Yom Kippur, the holiest day for the Jews and this was the day that President Ahmadinejab of Iran was given the platform at the UN to speak of the need of a 'new world order' that would not be in league with the devil (the devil he identifies as being the zionist regime of Israel).

Here is a letter written by the Isaeli PM in response. He is due to address the UN today.

"On the day that we pray to be inscribed in the Book of Life, the podium was given to the dictatorial regime in Iran that takes every opportunity to sentence us to death."

"On the eve of Yom Kippur, a day that the Jewish people holds sacred, the Iranian dictator chose to call for our disappearance in public, with the entire world watching. This is a black day for those who chose to remain in the hall and hear these hateful words. In my speech before the representatives of nations at the UN General Assembly, they will hear our response."

"As the prime minister of Israel, the state of the Jewish people, I am acting in every possible way so that Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons. History proves that whoever wanted to erase us from the map – failed in his mission, while the Jewish nation overcame all obstacles."
