Reflections on the SI conference

sermonindex Oct 8, 2012

I am still processing before the.Lord the recent SI conference in Atlanta. In the proverbial 11th hour God quickened ny spirit to go. The Spirit said I would be grieved if I did not go. I am glad I went and I was blessed.

I will not do injustice to the speakers by saying any particular speaker blessed me more than any other. Each of the speakers came with a powerful anointing. Each of tbeir words resonated in ny spirit. There messages were timely and powerful. Each messenger from God brought a timely word to the body. The only question is. Will the body wake up and listen.

The worship was powerful and Christ centered. David Ford brought his giftings into the conference and led us in anointed worship before the throne.

Sunday morning a group of believers gathered st Nary Beth's home for a gospel fellowship. There was a time of silence before the Lord, prayer, praise, and worship o Jesus. Also encouraging words were spoken and released. It was sad to leave to catch my plane to Little Rock. Truly I experienced something akin to what the believers in Iran and Dina have in tbeir home fellowships. For this was truly a taste heaven on earth.

Saints I sense the hour of urgency upon us. There were not many people present at this conference . Some gave said this was the smallest SI conference yet. But the most strategic. The people who were there were there because they were hungry for Jesus. These precious saints want mire reality in tbeir walk with Jesus. It is not simply preparing for the upcoming persecution. But wanting the living Christ to be in them to go through the persecution. And to come out victorious as those saintss of old have done.

Yet, I feel many of the body. Well meaning saints who love Jesus are still in denial. Maybe some in this forum. Many are in denial of what is coming. Saints I implore you to please wake up to the hour of urgency . Please listen to the messages and take them to heart. Please hear the heart cry of Jesus to his bride in America.

One thing I am struck with in the account if the Laodicean church in Revelation. Christ had not given up on it. He was still knocking at their door even in the midst of their worldliness. But was anyone listening to the knock

Dear saint is anyone listening to the voice of Jesus warning his bride what is coming upon her in America?

what is coming that is what i am really desperately trying to understand. everyone keeps saying persecution but that seems like a really generic answer. i am praying and seeking to live each day to Jesus but other then that what is a person suppose to do?

i am glad the conference was such a blessing to so many. i was praying it would be but i still have questions and i will keep praying. thanks bear for telling us about how things went.

I did not see many on the video I have watched this far. But know this, and be encouraged, I am from the uk and have watched two of the sessions so far, with every intention of watching the rest. My hunger for more of Jesus has grown so much in this very year, I sense a desperation in the air.

I hear talk of 'peace, peace' but I do not see it. If I were in America I would have made every effort to go, the topic being so timely, the events are being played out before our eyes. One thing I always say is that uk has such a close tie to the us, what I see happening to the us is what could happen to the uk shortly after. I mean, we have practically all your movies, tv and even culture, so our directions are similar.

Once I have had a chance to take in the rest of the sermons, I will post my thoughts in more detail. I wanted to encourage my brother in Christ that despite what seemed like low numbers, there are people out there in other countries who had the blessing to be able to watch online.

I too was disappointed to see the low turnout to the SI conference. Such an important event for all Christians! How do they advertise it? I am a casual user of SI, and only noticed the small print message about the conference perhaps two days before. I did connect with them live, and caught what I could, also the 2nd day I was able to watch better online. It would be good to get a message to the organizers that a better way to advertise it might be helpful. I see a lot of people view the forum, so I would guess there should be more interest if they know ahead of time.

Brother in all fairness the conference was advertised starting back in the summer. At keast around June or July Greg started posting the conference. I started posting the conference calls to cover the conference about the sane time.

The low numbers were not due to a lack of advertising. But due to a fact that persecution is not a topic the American church wants to hear about.

Just wanted to provide another part kf the picture here.

Persecution is not a topic the American church wants to hear about but was the conference only posted on SI? Voice of The Martyrs also holds conferences and they get many people but I don't think they keep it to their magazine. Just a thought.
