I came across this and thought it was fitting for us here.
I know I welcome the reminder to me.
"Our staunch adherence to sectarian beliefs, and our consuming love of creed has made us powerless before an unbelieving world and has killed our love one for another. To us the Lord is saying, "I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place except thou repent" (Revelation 2:4-5)."
