I wanted to let anyone know on the east coast that will be praying for you all. Hope others will join me in praying for the 50 million plus people about to be hit with this storm. Its suppose to make land fall in New Jersey but the path of this storm as it merges with a cold front is going to be huge. People are going to be having a really difficult time of it for a long while with power outages and some very destructive weather about to happen.
Will be praying for all those out there. Trust in the Lord, and know He is still in charge even in the middle of the storm
take care and be safe

Yes Greg this storm is coming in from a different angle and that is one reason it will be so dangerous. I just really felt the need to pray for those who will be in the storms path.

We do have brothers and sisters up on that area. Even from SI. If nothing else remember thm in prayer. I think our dear sister MaryJane is from up there. And Diane also. .May God protect and preserve them. May God turn this storm.

I may live more in the carnal on this issue but I am still wondering how a person's faith in God is enriched by praying for the northeast in light of this storm. The only thing I can think of is a person discerning the push of God upon their heart to pray for something specific or praying as they hear the Spirit regardless of whether it makes sense to the human mind. Then through this experience with God they will know God's Voice more as a result and possible have something revealed to them to show that God was in that Prayer- type of thing.
Bearmaster, you said you live in tornado alley and you pray for God to turn the twisters and perserve life. Do look for answers to pray when that happens or do you simply hope for the best? Is there anything in that circumstance that would cause you to doubt that God answered your prayers in those circumstances?

John i don't have an answer for you right now except to say i just felt the need to pray. i have friends, and family who live in these places and i pray they will be safe. i also pray for the lost, i have heard that 48 people have already died during this storm, no one knows when there time will come to an end here. i know there are many right now who are dealing with fear about the unknown of this whole storm, about what may happen and i know letting them know that they are not forgotten that there are brothers and sisters praying for them helps bring them comfort and encouragement. that reminds me of just how much God loves me too because He has given me the desire to pray for others as well.
any ways just want to say thanks to those who felt led to pray. i'm going to resume my leave of the forum now.
