Nero Caesar and the Christian Faith

"One of the most despicable manifestations of human flesh ever to disgrace this planet was Nero Claudius Caesar. Born in A.D. 37, Nero was educated at the feet of the philosopher Seneca (whom he eventually forced to commit suicide). Nero murdered his way to the imperial throne, which he occupied from A.D. 54-68. His life was characterized by debauchery, violence (he caused his own mother to be killed), and extravagance."

It was in this context of government that the holy Christian Church prospered, and shook the earth with the greatest revival of all time.

In this election the American people got what they wanted. America has become a selfish fleshpot, and it did not matter who was elected; we would not change.

It appears to me, that there is a massive separation happening; One to everything that is against Christ, and one that is everything for Christ. It is sad that America had to be in the balance, but historically has God ever NOT judged those who defied Him?

The difference is, we are a Nation that dedicated ourselves to God, with George Washington and the Continental congress bowing the knee confessing Jesus as Lord, with prayer and fasting. Some of their parents were the fruit of the Great Awakening.

The Church was the foundation of the American Educational system, with Sunday School, and the cultural impact was overwhelming. I remember when we began our school days with prayer, and the entire culture observed the Sabbath; EVERYTHING shut down...including gas stations and all business...and most people went to churches.

Today, we are all about ourselves, and I sense a spirit of foreboding, awaiting something terrible, and expect to see again America shaking her fist at God; "WE WILL REBUILD!; NOTHING WILL STOP US!"

A separation has been made: We are on our own...given away to our own devices; we got what we wanted; Striking down God's law as slavery.

I see revival all the closer now, and a realization in Christians of the folly of politics today to be able to turn a Nation into prosperity or morality through government. Paul the Apostle never tried to. He preached the ONE of WHOM all government was on His shoulders forever, and was dedicated to Him alone. So should we...for there-in is the prosperity of the Kingdom, and the manifestation also of the King....no matter the presiding politician....even a man like Nero.

I have to agree with this post. Here are my thoughts from this morning:

I just wanted to be honest and say I was disappointed over the outcome of the election, except in the case of Judge Roy Moore, congrats Judge.

I had no illusions about Mitt Romney, I couldn't even get my heart around him for president, but I was really voting against our county becoming even more steaped in immorality, and stabbing our ally Israel in the back. Those who curse Israel will be cursed, and those who bless Israel will be blessed. I feel that we are about to enter the cursed side of the page, and that grieves me deeply. For 36 years I have been a friend of Israel and will be till He comes.

I had to lift myself through prayer and praise this morning out of the blues. As I said, not that I wanted Romney, but that I didn't want Obama. However the reason we have what we have is because the people love to have it so, and we will all reap what has been sown, probably real soon. The first thing that struck me on the start-page was a very happy Putin, that concerns me for many reasons. Having said that, we as believers have a covert in the storm that nobody can touch. Even in the face of persecution, which I feel is growing in the USA, we have a strong tower to run into. I am running into it and hope you are as well.

2 Chronicles 7:13-15

13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

The burden to turn things around is upon the church. We are really sad because our lifestyle might change, we like things easy, and same, same. I am speaking about myself here. This administration threatens life as we know it. However if we read our bibles we will have to see that we are on a collision course with the end of the age. We surely can see the sign of His appearing on the horizon. He is coming back for His own. We need to make sure we are ready for that event, and that we take as many with us as we possibly can. It is time to go over old ground, those who were hardened before may just be open now. The fields are white unto harvest. Peoples hearts are failing them for fear of what is coming on the earth. People the world over take truck loads of perscription drugs to dull their fear. We need not be one of them. We have a Hope. We can share that Hope.

It is time friends that we make our calling election sure, that we seek Him whle he can be found. That we re-dedicate our lives 100% to His will and purposes. The bride is making herself ready, God is washing off the filth from the daughters of Zion. We can safely place our lives in His all capable hands. Look up my brothers and sisters, our redemption draweth nigh. I can see the world aligning with bible prophecy, but He has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, and of power, and of a sound mind. We would see Jesus. He is not off on vacation this morning, He never sleeps nor slumbers. He ever lives to make intercession for us. We must trust Him. He does all things well.

I love you all, because He first loved me. Peace, Shalom, to you all.

I say amen to that brother. I see the revival coming among Christendom for those who would throw of the shackles and the entanglments of the world and its systems and put their trust wholly in the Living God.........bro Frank
