Greetings beekpr
I wanted to ask if I may, a questions concerning your post. You wrote: "our response to the reelection of a man who holds Obama,s moral values in our "sister nation" leaves us feeling deep sadness."
________
I wonder would Romney really have been any better based on his moral values? He is a Mormon who holds to those false teachings and is an enemy of God? I am not trying to stir up debate, I ask because I really want to understand the heart of other believers in this. I have family who feel great sadness right now as well because of the things you expressed and what I don't understand is where the difference comes in this matter since both men are enemies of God? Would the millions who are lost in their sins be any less lost today if Romney had won? Please understand I ask this with a sincere heart I hope to convey that. Also these are questions in my own mind and heart to consider.

I agree with you it is very sad and heart breaking to realize how far and how deceived people are. Many will die in their sins and spend eternity in hell because of their rebellion toward God and unwillingness to repent. This is truly something to grieve over...and yet there is hope and there is life in CHRIST JESUS. I am encouraged and I just want to encourage others now is this time to seek GOD on behalf of all these lost souls. Pray for those around you to come to see the sin in their lives and repent as I am sure you do with zeal.

Of course listening to those who need to express their fears and sorrows is apart of loving one another in CHRIST but I know in my own walk I also want to hear truth even in the dark times and the truth is JESUS does live and HE still sits on the throne! Nothing has changed. I don't dismiss your sorrows for the lost or diminish that pain but I do feel led to encourage and point you to JESUS. HE does not wish for us to be in despair but to take up our cross and follow HIM! If we allow HIM to HE can take this grief and turn it into a greater desire for HIM and the things of HIS KINGDOM! I pray for you in this time, I pray that we all can see past what our eyes see in the natural world and glance into eternity knowing that JESUS is victorious and has already won the battle! I pray that each day that passes our sadness will be replaced with a resolve to walk boldly in CHRIST and share the truth to whom HE gives us leading that none will be lost.
Someone once said to me, "Be sure that the sorrows you are expressing are for those lost and deceived souls and not a way of life called the American Dream" This was very convicting for me on a personal level, when I examined my own heart in this I realized there was still much that I needed to die to and let go of as far as attachments to this world. This is probably not the case for you but I share it because I do think it is vitally important to ask ourselves in this time why am I grieving? why do I feel this way that I do? and what does the LORD say about that. For me personally my recent posts on this topic have been a desire to offer encouragement and reflection, with the thought that maybe others might have need of one or the other also.
I hope and pray you will receive this post in the heart and spirit of love in which it was written.
Please know I will be praying for you.
God bless
