Praising Jesus

Today's reading included the Parable of the Sower Matthew 13:1-23

Behold, a sower went forth to sow . . . fell into good ground

Reading this I thought of when my husband and I were saved. Thinking of the condition of the soil then and now. It reminds me of when you plant a garden. You prepare the soil but after the seeds come up, continue to work the soil to increase productivity.

Our personal soil has been worked upon by the Master many times over. He still is cultivating us.

Evidence of this came yesterday as, once again, my husband lost the ability to understand words, particularly in sentences. This brings about a period of confusion on both our paarts but once we realized what was going on, the first thing we did was pray together, although he could only join hands and not vocalize. Then I gave him an aspirin. We sat and waited. Not long afterwards he was able to speak better and asked that I read a little to him. He was able to understand that, too.

Praise the Lord for His unending mercy.

We are aware that every day is a gift.

Through these trials, I am grateful to pray: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have mercy on me, a sinner.
