Sharia Law of Allah: Death to all who resist, and the Saints.

sermonindex Nov 28, 2012

Considering what could be the fall of Egypt to Radical Islam, with their President there declaring himself the Absolute Power, we need to think about the signs of the times, and as I noted, the rise of the Anti-Christ. I believe he will rise from a renewed United States of Islam, a Caliphate.
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/11/28/egyptian-court-suspends-work-nationwide-to-protest-morsi-power-grab/

The word is derived from Caliph: "A leader of an Islamic polity, regarded as a successor of Muhammad and by tradition always male."..wiki....

This Union is about world Domination, the Goal of Allah, and one that I believe will succeed.

"Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.

It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them.

Authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

ALL.... who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
...Jesus through John.

We are watching the beginnings of this Rise of the Anti-Christ with his seat in the heart of the United states of Islam. It is the Lord God who allows this rise, in order to TEST those on the Earth, to determine who they will worship.

Revelation 20:4
[ The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years ]

" And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God.

These had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands.

And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years."

What major religion practices beheading as a normal everyday practice for violating it's mandates? Consider the captured journalist Jew Daniel Pearl, and his public beheading.

There will be blood filling up the streets even here in America; the blood of true Saints..Beheaded..so many that the First Resurrection will be all about them.

What does the Muslim Brotherhood and it's leader Morsi do this week? They suspend all democratic rights, and the "western court and laws" do declare Sharia Law.....as THE LAW...in all of Egypt! This is the dictatorship of the Caliph, and the Caliphate.

Get ready, and know your God....for soon America will fall, and be invaded...and a mark instituted even to buy or sell. I fear that many will not be prepared by faith...[ including me..]& think it impossible.

What is this knowledge good for? To prepare? How?

My questions are not to badger your post, I am really asking sincere questions. What is this information good for?

I think BrotherTom said in the post, that we are to prepare, or should be prepared, for what is to come.

I just hope we are.

"I think BrotherTom said in the post, that we are to prepare, or should be prepared, for what is to come.

I just hope we are."...enid

As for what is this knowledge good for? Jesus Himself thought it important enough to know, when speaking about the End Times, and how important it was that we resist this one and same Mark that is coming; THE MARK OF THE BEAST.

It is intensely sobering to consider that it will come, and yes, to ALL of the Earth.

Could it be that He gave us this knowledge to resolve ourselves adamantly, like a Stone, to refuse it, no matter what it cost us?

"And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. "

....and those who did take the mark were damned forever.

It is a monumental event in Eternity, and I will believe will be at the core of the Great Tribulation. We cannot prepare any way but repentance unto holiness, and learning how to love and fear Jesus all the way. [ and we all fail at this..]

It will be an Islamist Jihad with the sword, and we must endure it to please God, and the Word says that:

"Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many."

This is from Matthew 24; the end-times chapter and I believe that it is this time, when the mark of the Beast [Allah] is mandated to buy or sell or else.

This concept is deeply embedded in Islam and Sharia Law and has been enforced for centuries.

We prepare by faith. God seeks worshippers, and those who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, no matter the cost to themselves. This is why He warned us it was coming.

If this is a call to be prepared, how should we prepare specifically?

"A fair and honest question, I'd like to hear the answer also.

It appears that the "Ten Virgin" parable gives us some ideas. Remember, that Matthew 24 and 25 were never separated at all by chapter and verse, and they are about the exact same thought; The End of The Age; The Tribulation Period and the Return of Jesus.

Five of the Virgins prepared; How? They carried oil with them. This speaks of walking in the Spirit and devotion to obeying Christ, and not loving the World, the Flesh, or being overcome by the Devil, and losing God's grace.

"Then [ at the time of the End of the Age ]
the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps."

"I DO NOT KNOW YOU!"...JESUS...AND THE DOOR WAS SHUT TO THE WEDDING TO THE FIVE UNPREPARED.

"And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’

But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
[ The most horrible Words a person will ever hear.]

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."...Jesus

Watch! Continually turning our hearts to the Lord, and always crucifying the self life that the Spirit of God might possess you, and learning how to Love God and men by the Spirit, the OIL OF HEAVEN!, The anointing.

Jesus is called THE ANOINTED ONE! We are made like sons of God, manifesting his living character IF we learn to walk with Him, and become conformed to Him by bearing out Cross, dying to our way, and living to His. Then the Holy Spirit shines out of us. We carry oil with us; we live by faith.

We can refuse this grace to learn of Him and walk with Him; most do preferring their own way. These are the foolish, unprepared virgins.

...and those who did take the mark were damned forever.
Thank you brother Tom for your answer, it's not what I was looking for, but all the same it was an answer.

I just want to insert a scripture regarding the quote above. Not as a rebuttal, but merely to show what popped into my mind when I read it.

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Everyone will worship the beast "Whose names are not written in the book of life". The world wondered after the beast, not the saints.

If our names are written in the book of life before the foundation of the world, how will we take the mark?

Can I offer a small contribution. I think our Lord tells us these things that we can trust Him that what He has said or the prophets have said that when we see them come to pass that our faith will be strengthened. John 14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

God always wants us to trust Him by faith even though we have not seen what we are trusting. Yet, when it is revealed or when comes to pass we can rejoice that what was spoken is confirmed.

The expectation of fulfilled prophecy or acts of God through giftings is that people will believe God or better yet turn to God and for the believer that His faith may increase. I see prophecies unfolding to be warning signs to become aware of our surroundings and yes to prepare. Prepare meaning that we do not fall asleep in getting entangled into the worlds affairs like we have done for many years. Preparation at least how I understand it is to stop any activity that is pulling us away from having fellowship with God. We have preoccupied ourselves too long with the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil and it's time we hang around the other tree in the midst of the garden, the Tree of Life.

When Daniel's fellow colleagues ganged up on him by getting the King to change the laws, he went and prayed. When the world gangs up on the Church by changing the laws to hinder our movements, it's time that we get alone with God and pray.

I wanted to post this not as to fear, but the absolute brutality and mercilessness we face in Islam; the beheading of innocent young children. It is a religion of murder and death, with no bounds, and it has vowed to stamp out Christianity off the face of the Earth.

We must know our God.

"An adolescent boy and a young girl have been beheaded in two separate incidents in Afghanistan, local officials and police said on Friday, in the latest brazen attacks that have raised fresh questions about a splintering Taliban.

A 12-year-old boy was kidnapped and killed in southern Kandahar province on Wednesday, his severed head placed near his body to send a warning to police, said provincial governor spokesman Jawid Faisal.

The brother of the boy, neither of whom were named by officials, was a member of the Afghan Local Police (ALP), a U.S.-trained militia charged with making Afghans in Taliban strongholds, like Kandahar, feel more secure, Faisal said.

"It's a Taliban warning to the ALP and to others who support the government," Faisal said of the killing, which happened in Kandahar's Panjwai district.

Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf denied the group was involved.

Separately, a 6-year-old girl was beheaded in eastern Kapisa province on Thursday, said provincial police chief Abdul Hamed.

"We are not sure if she was beheaded by her family or the Taliban, but we know the Taliban control the area," Hamed said of the killing in Jalukhil village. He added that he could not send investigators to the area out of fears for their safety.

The murders follow the shooting or beheading of 17 young revellers attending a party in southern Helmand province this week, which officials said was the work of the Taliban, a charge the group also denied.

Whenever I read of beheadings and the probability of it become the execution of choice in these end times, I recall what Revelation 20:1-6 teaches us:

1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

3 and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.

4 Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

Did you notice WHO will be resurrected in the first resurrection? The ones that were beheaded! Not those who died a natural death, but those who were beheaded! Wrap your mind around that!

AND...what did they do? Ruled with Christ for a thousand years! Now, was that terrible? Jesus says in verse 6 that "Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection.."

Imagine that, if you can!

This is my interpretation on that scripture also, though I struggle to believe that men like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Elijah, David and Daniel, and the Apostles, who were not beheaded, and the holy prophets would not be included in the first resurrection also. Consider the hundreds of thousands [ millions? ] of Righteous Martyrs also who perished in other ways.

Could it be a prophetic encouragement for us about to suffer that our deaths by this manner will be absolutely honored by God, and not to fear? This scripture gives us great resolve, both not to take the MARK, and endure until death. I think the Promise is that they shall be added to that most holy group named above, not exclusively inhabit it.

"Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days.

" Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life!"

By the way, Egypt, the largest Arabic middle Eastern country, just fell to Radical Islam and Sharia Law under it's head, Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood Chief. [ 80 million Muslims there...] Their Constitution now ensures Radical Rule of Islam as the Law of the land, and bars the Military from it's own rule.

The Caliphate is expanding every day exponentially, and there are huge crowds in Cairo supporting this coup'. The rule of the Beast is consuming the world....but we must know that Jesus is Lord, and it is He that has initiated and controls this tribulation.

It is His Trial.

"Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth."

How important it is that we hold fast, and do not take that Mark.

Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more.

I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name."

Tom respectfully. I do nit see Islam as tbe rising force of tbe Antichrist as you seem to hold to. No denying, Islam is a oroninced threat with a world take over agenda. But Islam is one venue Satan uses to advance his agenda. In India it is Hinduism. In N. Korea it us tbe philosophy of Joicge. And the personality cult of its leader. In China and Cuba it us Marxism. In America secular humanism is a Satanic venue and do forth.

Islam is not this monolithic entity we conceive if. Islan is divided between Summi Islam that comes out if Saudi Arabia. nd this is the mite dominant Islam. Tbe other variation if Islam is Shia which comes out if Iran. Summi and Shia Moslems do nit get along and.often times fight one another. It is well known that Saudi Arabia and Iran regard one another as enemies. Thus even if the antichrist in the.form if tbe Mahdi comes out if Iran. Tbe Saudi Sunnis would never accept him.

Also the gospel is moving mightily among Moslems with many coming to Christ through dreams and visions. Brother I would say, pray for the gospel to spread among Moslems. That they be converted.

Chances are Islam will be under a new world religion which will be a synthesis of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. And everything else thrown in. It will be under the control of tbe Antochrist who will probably be European in irgion.

Whereas I cannot say for certain this is the case. I do nit see Islam as the world religion of tbe end times.

"Tom respectfully. I do not see Islam as the rising force of the Antichrist as you seem to hold to."..Bearmaster

We all have our opinions. Islam has risen in numbers to 1.4 Billion souls; 1 in 5 of everybody on Earth. It is growing exponentially, both by populating the lands they live in, and by forcing submission by Terror and War.

They have declared WAR on every Christian on Earth, and every Jew alive, that will not convert to worship Allah, and any other religion that will not bow down.

It is Anti-Christ by a pure nature, and it's goal is very publicly to dominate the entire World, and is making amazing progress in every inhabited Continent.

It practices beheading daily, according to the prophecy that speaks of this practice against the saints, and is the only one that does; for rejecting it's strict allegiances to the Law of Allah.

"In the religious sense, Islam means submission to the will of God and obedience to His law."*....or else, which completely lines up with the religion of the BEAST, The Abomination that makes Desolate, that Jesus warned of very clearly.

ISLAM'S GLOBAL WAR ON CHRISTIANITY.

From Nigeria to Indonesia, Christians are under siege in virtually every single country in the Muslim world, the victims of countless acts of discrimination, depredation, brutality, and murder that are so widespread and systematic that it can rightfully be called the new Holocaust. This time, however, the perpetrators of this Holocaust aren't wearing swastikas, but kufi skull caps and hijabs.

Some of the oldest Christian communities in the world are subject to relentless attack and teeter on the brink of extinction at the hands of the "Religion of Peace": Palestinian Christians in Gaza and the West Bank; Assyrian, Syriac and Chaldean Christians in Iraq; Coptic Christians in Egypt; Evangelical and Orthodox Christians in Eastern Ethiopia and Eritrea; Armenian Orthodox Christians in Turkey; and Maronite Christians in Lebanon.

Several of these communities date back to the beginning decades of Christianity and all have weathered wave after wave of Islamic persecution for centuries and more, but in the very near future some will simply cease to exist. In our lifetime, the only trace of their past existence will be in footnotes in history books (and probably only Western history books at that).

Meanwhile, we in the West hear much from radical Islam's apologists how the US is engaged in a war against Islam citing of our military actions in Afghanistan and Iraq. We are lectured on the inviolability of the Muslim ummah and justifications of defensive jihad. ....more....

Tom you seem so intent on focussing on tbe evil of Islam. Are you not aware of tbe triumph of the cross over tbe crescent moon. God is revealing himself in dreams and visions among Moslems in the 1040 window. Many and I do mean many are coming to saving fath and life in Jesus Christ. There are reports of whole mosques that are turnibg to Christ.

I point to Iran as one example. In 1979 there were less than 500 believers under tbe Shah. After the Islamic revolution, a gospel revolution took place. Now there are over 100,000 believers in Iran. That is a conservative estimate.. Others place the number of believers to over a million. Iranian believers are praying with faith Iran will be tbe first Christian nation in the ME.

Brother I respectfully suggest. Focus on what God is doing in the gospel among tbe Moslems. Pray more Moslens are brought into tbe light if Christ. Let God deal with the antichrist.

Actually, It is us, the Church, who must deal with the Anti-Christ, Bearmaster....We represent Christ. What if someone had an entire CONFERENCE on Persecution and Preparation?

Of course God is saving within Islamic countries, and He will unto the end, but A Radical United World-Wide State is being formed, that is at War with Christianity. It is increasing and most brutal, and is consuming whole nations, and DOES NOT TOLERATE THE INFIDEL....Christians foremost.

There are Muslim countries that will execute you according to Law for converting to Christianity. It is considered blasphemous.

I would also remind you that Sermonindex [ Greg ] has been concerned enough at this level of persecution to post several articles about it's encroachment very similar to this thread.

NAIROBI, Kenya, November 23 (CDN) — Islamic extremists controlling part of the Somali capital of Mogadishu this month executed a young Christian they accused of trying to convert a 15-year-old Muslim to Christianity.

Members of the Islamic extremist group al Shabaab had taken 23-year-old Mumin Abdikarim Yusuf into custody on Oct. 28 after the 15-year-old boy reported him to the militants, an area source told Compass. Yusuf’s body was found on Nov. 14 on an empty residential street in Mogadishu, with sources saying the convert from Islam was shot to death, probably some hours before dawn.

"Millions of Evangelical Christians Want to Start WWIII to Speed the "Second Coming" ... and Atheist Neocons are Using Religion".

-----------------------------

The Founding Fathers weren't particularly anti-Islam.

But millions of Americans believe that Christ will not come again until Israel wipes out its competitors and there is widespread war in the Middle East. Some of these folks want to start a huge fire of war and death and destruction, so that Jesus comes quickly.

According to French President Chirac, Bush told him that the Iraq war was needed to bring on the apocalypse:

In Genesis and Ezekiel Gog and Magog are forces of the Apocalypse who are prophesied to come out of the north and destroy Israel unless stopped. The Book of Revelation took up the Old Testament prophesy:

“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.”

Bush believed the time had now come for that battle, telling Chirac:

“This confrontation is willed by God, who wants to use this conflict to erase his people’s enemies before a New Age begins”…

There can be little doubt now that President Bush’s reason for launching the war in Iraq was, for him, fundamentally religious. He was driven by his belief that the attack on Saddam’s Iraq was the fulfilment of a Biblical prophesy in which he had been chosen to serve as the instrument of the Lord.

And British Prime Minister Tony Blair long-time mentor, advisor and confidante said:

“Tony’s Christian faith is part of him, down to his cotton socks. He believed strongly at the time, that intervention in Kosovo, Sierra Leone – Iraq too – was all part of the Christian battle; good should triumph over evil, making lives better.”

Mr Burton, who was often described as Mr Blair’s mentor, says that his religion gave him a “total belief in what’s right and what’s wrong”, leading him to see the so-called War on Terror as “a moral cause”…

Anti-war campaigners criticised remarks Mr Blair made in 2006, suggesting that the decision to go to war in Iraq would ultimately be judged by God.

Bill Moyers reports that the organization Christians United for Israel - led by highly-influential Pastor John C. Hagee - is a universal call to all Christians to help factions in Israel fund the Jewish settlements, throw out all the Palestinians and lobby for a pre-emptive invasion of Iran. All to bring Russia into a war against us causing World War III followed by Armageddon, the Second Coming and The Rapture. See this and this.

This all revolves around what is called Dispensationalism. So popular is Dispensationalism that Tim LaHaye's Left Behind series has sold 65 million copies. Dispensationalists include the following mega-pastors and their churches:

Jerry Falwell
Pat Robertson
Billy Graham
They are supported by politicians such as:

Newt Gingrich
Joseph Lieberman
John McCain
Texas Senator John Cronyn
Former House Minority Whip Roy Blunt
Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay
And others
Dr. Timothy Webber - an evangelical Christian who has served as a teacher of church history and the history of American religion at Denver Seminary and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Vice-President at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, IL, and President of Memphis Theological Seminary in Tennessee - notes:

In a recent Time/CNN poll, more than one-third of Americans said that since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, they have been thinking more about how current events might be leading to the end of the world.

While only 36 percent of all Americans believe that the Bible is God's Word and should be taken literally, 59 percent say they believe that events predicted in the Book of Revelation will come to pass. Almost one out of four Americans believes that 9/11 was predicted in the Bible, and nearly one in five believes that he or she will live long enough to see the end of the world. Even more significant for this study, over one-third of those Americans who support Israel report that they do so because they believe the Bible teaches that the Jews must possess their own country in the Holy Land before Jesus can return.

Millions of Americans believe that the Bible predicts the future and that we are living in the last days. Their beliefs are rooted in dispensationalism, a particular way of understanding the Bible's prophetic passages, especially those in Daniel and Ezekiel in the Old Testament and the Book of Revelation in the New Testament. They make up about one-third of America's 40 or 50 million evangelical Christians and believe that the nation of Israel will play a central role in the unfolding of end-times events. In the last part of the 20th century, dispensationalist evangelicals become Israel's best friends-an alliance that has made a serious geopolitical difference.

***

Starting in the 1970s, dispensationalists broke into the popular culture with runaway best-sellers, and a well-networked political campaign to promote and protect the interests of Israel. Since the mid-1990s, tens of millions of people who have never seen a prophetic chart or listened to a sermon on the second coming have read one or more novels in the Left Behind series, which has become the most effective disseminator of dispensationalist ideas ever.

***

During the early 1980s the Israeli Ministry of Tourism recruited evangelical religious leaders for free "familiarization" tours. In time, hundreds of evangelical pastors got free trips to the Holy Land. The purpose of such promotional tours was to enable people of even limited influence to experience Israel for themselves and be shown how they might bring their own tour group to Israel. The Ministry of Tourism was interested in more than tourist dollars: here was a way of building a solid corps of non-Jewish supporters for Israel in the United States by bringing large numbers of evangelicals to hear and see Israel's story for themselves. The strategy caught on.

***

Shortly after the Six-Day War, elements within the Israeli government saw the potential power of the evangelical subculture and began to mobilize it as a base of support that could influence American foreign policy. The Israeli government sent Yona Malachy of its Department of Religious Affairs to the United States to study American fundamentalism and its potential as an ally of Israel. Malachy was warmly received by fundamentalists and was able to influence some of them to issue strong pro-Israeli manifestos. By the mid-1980s, there was a discernible shift in the Israeli political strategy. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the Jewish state's major lobbying group in Washington, D.C., started re-aligning itself with the American political right-wing, including Christian conservatives. Israel's timing was perfect. It began working seriously with American dispensationalists at the precise moment that American fundamentalists and evangelicals were discovering their political voice.

***

Probably the largest pro-Israel organization of its kind is the National Unity Coalition for Israel, which was founded by a Jewish woman who learned how to get dispensationalist support. NUCI opposes "the establishment of a Palestinian state within the borders of Israel."

In their commitment to keep Israel strong and moving in directions prophesied by the Bible, dispensationalists are supporting some of the most dangerous elements in Israeli society. They do so because such political and religious elements seem to conform to dispensationalist beliefs about what is coming next for Israel. By lending their support-both financial and spiritual-to such groups, dispensationalists are helping the future they envision come to pass.

***

Dispensationalists believe that the Temple is coming too; and their convictions have led them to support the aims and actions of what most Israelis believe are the most dangerous right-wing elements in their society, people whose views make any compromise necessary for lasting peace impossible. Such sentiments do not matter to the believers in Bible prophecy, for whom the outcome of the quarrelsome issue of the Temple Mount has already been determined by God.

Since the end of the Six-Day War, then, dispensationalists have increasingly moved from observers to participant-observers. They have acted consistently with their convictions about the coming Last Days in ways that make their prophecies appear to be self-fulfilling.

***

As Paul Boyer has pointed out, dispensationalism has effectively conditioned millions of Americans to be somewhat passive about the future and provided them with lenses through which to understand world events. Thanks to the sometimes changing perspectives of their Bible teachers, dispensationalists are certain that trouble in the Middle East is inevitable, that nations will war against nations, and that the time is coming when millions of people will die as a result of nuclear war, the persecution of Antichrist, or as a result of divine judgment. Striving for peace in the Middle East is a hopeless pursuit with no chance of success.

***

For the dispensational community, the future is determined. The Bible's prophecies are being fulfilled with amazing accuracy and rapidity. They do not believe that the Road Map will-or should-succeed. According to the prophetic texts, partitioning is not in Israel's future, even if the creation of a Palestinian state is the best chance for peace in the region. Peace is nowhere prophesied for the Middle East, until Jesus comes and brings it himself. The worse thing that the United States, the European Union, Russia, and the United Nations can do is force Israel to give up land for a peace that will never materialize this side of the second coming. Anyone who pushes for peace in such a manner is ignoring or defying God's plan for the end of the age.

It seems clear that dispensationalism is on a roll, that its followers feel they are riding the wave of history into the shore of God's final plan. Why should they climb back into the stands when being on the field of play is so much more fun and apparently so beneficial to the game's outcome? As [one dispensationalist group's] advertisement read, "Don't just read about prophecy when you can be part of it."

ATHEIST WAR HAWKS MANIPULATE BELIEVERS TO BEAT THE DRUMS OF WAR

Leo Strauss is the father of the Neo-Conservative movement, including many leaders of the current administration.

Indeed, many of the main neocon players - including Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Stephen Cambone, Elliot Abrams, and Adam Shulsky - were students of Strauss at the University of Chicago, where he taught for many years.

The people pushing for war against Iran are the same neocons who pushed for war against Iraq. See this and this. (They planned both wars at least 20 years ago.) For example, Shulsky was the director of the Office of Special Plans - the Pentagon unit responsible for selling false intelligence regarding Iraq’s weapons of mass. He is now a member of the equivalent organization targeting Iran: the Iranian Directorate.

Strauss, born in Germany, was an admirer of Nazi philosophers and of Machiavelli. Strauss believed that a stable political order required an external threat and that if an external threat did not exist, one should be manufactured. Specifically, Strauss thought that:

A political order can be stable only if it is united by an external threat . . . . Following Machiavelli, he maintained that if no external threat exists then one has to be manufactured

(the quote is by one of Strauss' main biographers).

Indeed, Stauss used the analogy of Gulliver's Travels to show what a Neocon-run society would look like:

"When Lilliput [the town] was on fire, Gulliver urinated over the city, including the palace. In so doing, he saved all of Lilliput from catastrophe, but the Lilliputians were outraged and appalled by such a show of disrespect." (this quote also from the same biographer)

Moreover, Strauss said:

Only a great fool would call the new political science diabolic . . . Nevertheless one may say of it that it fiddles while Rome burns. It is excused by two facts: it does not know that it fiddles, and it does not know that Rome burns.

So Strauss seems to have advocated governments letting terrorizing catastrophes happen on one's own soil to one's own people -- of "pissing" on one's own people, to use his Gulliver's travel analogy. And he advocates that government's should pretend that they did not know about such acts of mayhem: to intentionally "not know" that Rome is burning. He advocates messing with one's own people in order to save them from some "catastophe" (perhaps to justify military efforts to monopolize middle eastern oil to keep it away from our real threat -- an increasingly-powerful China?).

What does this have to do with religion?

Strauss taught that religion should be used as a way to manipulate people to achieve the aims of the leaders. But that the leaders themselves need not believe in religion.

As Wikipedia notes:

In the late 1990s Irving Kristol and other writers in neoconservative magazines began touting anti-Darwinist views, in support of intelligent design. Since these neoconservatives were largely of secular backgrounds, a few commentators have speculated that this – along with support for religion generally – may have been a case of a "noble lie", intended to protect public morality, or even tactical politics, to attract religious supporters.

So is it any surprise that the folks who planned war against Iraq and Iran at least 20 years ago are pushing religious disinformation to stir up the evangelical community?

Conservative Christians were the biggest backers of the Iraq war. And the Neocons are catering to them to try to back them into war with Iran, as well.

I've recently seen a swarm of spam claiming that all Muslims are evil, that they want to take over the world and establish a Muslim caliphate, and that they want to nuke Iran. They misquote Muslims and use false statements to try to stir up religious hatred.

They are simply promoting the Straussian playbook: stir up religious sentiment - even if you are personally an atheist - to create and demonize an "enemy", so as to promote war ...

NOT A PROBLEM WITH A PARTICULAR RELIGION ... BUT OF IMMATURITY

Most Americans confuse Zionism and Judaism. But many devout Jews are against Zionism, and Zionists can be Christian.

And as I've repeatedly noted, fundamentalist Jews, Christians, Muslims and Hindus are all very much alike, and often willing to use violence to spread their ideology ... while more spiritually mature Jews, Christians, Muslims and Hindus are all much more tolerant and peaceful than their evangelical brothers:

As Christian writer and psychiatrist M. Scott Peck explained, there are different stages of spiritual maturity. Fundamentalism – whether it be Muslim, Christian, Jewish or Hindu fundamentalism – is an immature stage of development. There are peaceful, contemplative Muslim sects – think the poet Rumi the poet and Sufis – and violent sects, just as there are contemplative Christian orders and violent Christian groups (and peaceful and violent atheists).

While there are certainly some Arab terrorists, Islam cannot be blamed for their barbaric murderous actions, just as Christianity cannot be blamed for the Norwegian Christian terrorist - Anders Behring Breivik's actions. University of Chicago professor Robert A. Pape – who specializes in international security affairs – points out:

Extensive research into the causes of suicide terrorism proves Islam isn’t to blame — the root of the problem is foreign military occupations.

The 9/11 hijackers used cocaine and drank alcohol, slept with prostitutes and attended strip clubs … but they did not worship at any mosque. See this, this, this, this, this, this, this, and this. So they were not really Muslims.

And even atheists like Stalin can be terrorists, or at least genocidal maniacs.

Indeed, all religions teach compassion, love and the Golden Rule. Likewise, atheism teaches respect for the individual, the most good for the most people, and helping everyone reach their human potential.

Some within each philosophy follow these teachings, and others want to kill everyone who doesn't agree with them. The issue is not really the label of this religion or that, but of maturity and true spirituality and compassion.

Postscript 1: Neoliberals and Neoconservatives are very similar in many ways. And because Neocons are not conservative, nothing in this post is meant to criticize conservatism.

Postscript 2: Most evangelicals are not dispensationalists, and so do not want to bring on armageddon.

Tom, respectfully, it would not do any good to share any info with you. In your own words " I do not believe". Then leave it at that. By the way the profiles I have read suggest Eritrea is controlled by a repressive Marxist dictatership headed by Isaias Afwetki. Not the Islamic Taliban. But then the United States Dept. of State may nit gave tbe latest info.

Bearmaster.
