Musicians Like Keith Green

I am still a very new Christian, but I have been very blessed by the music of Keith Green. Sadly, he died long before I was a Christian.

While, there are some new Christian artists that I enjoy, I was wondering if anyone can reccomend some old time Christian musicians that are like Keith Green - great men of God who write great God glorifying music.

Be careful you do not place such men on a pedestal. They are sinners, just as the rest of us are. Covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ, yes, but subject to great temptations that come with much success. Sadly, I have seen none escape unscathed.

With that thought in mind, Don Francisco did some nice work in his early years. However, we were turned off to his later offerings, as they were too worldly. Especially off-putting is the glorification made of Green by his wife after his death.

Take the early tunes and avoid the fan worship, in my humble opinion.
