George Fox (1624-1691) taught publicly and boldly, without apology, that true faith in Jesus Christ purifies and gives victory over sin. ‘He fervently exhorted men to pursue complete holiness rather than empty religious ceremonies. As a result, he was often beaten, stoned and driven out of town. Fox also often pointed out that what was commonly called the Church was only a building. He boldly declared that only the fervent believers of Christ were the living stones of the true Church.

Those who are living daily, submitting unto HIM are HIS and they alone make up the body of CHRIST. There are those who call themselves Christian in name... and then there are those who live their lives being a "follower of CHRIST!" Their actions and words show in deed that JESUS is LORD of their life. The TRUE CHURCH is made up of a body of believers driven by their love for CHRIST and their love and desire to extend HIS love to others around them. HIS CHURCH, the TRUE CHURCH is alive and seeking to proclaim HIS KINGDOM daily by the way they live their lives and care for others...

Amen. May the Lord give us boldness. Here is another quote from Ravenhill's article on Fox:

"Once George Fox grasped the truth that he sought for, there was a steady calm in his spiritual life. There was no ups and downs, his life was pure and childlike and truly hid with Christ in God."

Yes indeed MJ. The living stones are rightly shaped and hewed by the hand of the Lord and his hammer and chisel of people and circumstances. His living stones yield to this chiseling, this shaping,this refining and they find all their hope and all their peace and all their joy in the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and their Heavnly Father. And the Holy Spirit is a fire by night and cloud by day to those who are called according to His purpose. The gates of hell shall never prevail against these people because they have already died to this world and they know that there is no where else that they can turn save to Him who has the Words of Life..................bro Frank
