Greetings in the precious name of Jesus our Lord!
We wanted to let you know, for the past week Jay Benson, President of World Missionary Press, has been in serious condition, fighting for his life.
On Tuesday night December 18, Jay’s wife Vicky took him to the emergency room in Goshen, Indiana. Jay was having pain behind his eyes, and trouble seeing. A CAT scan revealed bleeding in the brain, so they immediately transferred Jay to Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, where they have neurosurgeons on staff. Jay’s condition degraded over the next day (Wednesday), with him eventually becoming unresponsive. Jay has been in the ICU at Lutheran Hospital ever since.
Subsequent scans have revealed brain damage. The doctors don’t give him much hope for recovery; however, people all over the world are praying and trusting God for Jay’s miraculous healing. Vicky shared Monday, December 24 in our chapel service; we’ve included a link to her very inspiring message here:
