courtship then marriage

I'd appreciate feedback from any here on S.I. who might direct me to any sources with some form of network or website with info on churches or christian groups listed throughout the U.S. who have families that practice some form of courtship as opposed to the dating that is practiced among most christians here in the U.S.

Please keep this thread on subject. I am not looking for resources such as books or articles on the subject. Nor am I looking for anyone to post on the pros and cons of such which may turn into a debate. In other words I am not looking for one to post their view and another to post their view regarding courtship vs. dating.

I am simply asking if anyone here on S.I. knows of any christian group(s),church(es) or network(s) which might direct me to such persons for contact and/or correspondence in this regard.

If you think it could be helpful then send it along and I'll weed through all the posts and leads.

Thank you all so much.

Savannah, I am not sure I understand exactly what you are asking, but we were made aware of the teaching of courtship vs. dating through several homeschooling organizations (Christian)over the past couple of decades....There is visionforum.org which is headed up by Doug Phillips and has an offshoot of the National Center for Family Integrated Churches (ncfic.org) headed up by Scott Brown - both these organizations support/teach courtship. Also Bill Gothard's iblp.org teaches courtship. In addition, illbehonest.com has courtship messages by Paul Washer so I know that he promotes courtship. I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but I believe you could contact any of these people/organizations by email and they could further direct you. Hope this is somehow a help to you.

I believe that Charity Fellowships - such as the one founded by Denny Kenaston - practice courtship, and they have a fellowship finder on their website that might point you to a local congregation that follows the same practice.

Brother, Charity fellowships is one of the better ministries that have great teachings on this subject and practice this model with their children.

Brother,

My first thought was Israel Wayne of Wisdom's gate. I did a quick search of their many sites and found this: http://www.biblicalbetrothal.com/

I didn't see any fourms or community information (which is what you requested) but perhaps if you contact him directly he can provide the help that you seek.

Please find the book link below. This book was instrumental in my understanding of courtship and marriage:

May the Lord give you spiritual wisdom and understanding,

BTW, I also found some good teaching from Charity Ministries as well. I would recommend listening to Denny's teachings or Rick Leibee. Daniel Kenaston might also have some good instructional content as he is the second generation of the godly home vision. Follow the link Greg posted and you should be able to find some good messages from these brothers.

Rick L. took a radical approach with the courtship of Wes and Charity (her name is the same as the ministry). The marriage was arranged, but Wes consented to it and so did Charity. It was a "hands-off" courtship, I am almost positive. See link below: http://charitychristianfellowship.org/missions/wes-leibee-family

Rick L. would probably be glad to speak with you and you could try reaching him through Charity Ministries. He is easily approachable and open.

Another ministry is Ellerslie, Eric and Leslie Ludy. I do not know much about their teaching on the subject, but they have a great testimony. See link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f30S5KMJArI

Both Eric and Leslie had godly parents with a godly vision.

When you go to one of these godly marriages it is a blessing. Purity as God intended it from creation is a great testimony of Christ and His love for the church and for God's love for mankind.
