Washington National Cathedral to host same-sex 'weddings'

The Washington National Cathedral had been ready to embrace same-sex marriage for some time, though it took a series of recent events and a new leader for the prominent, 106-year-old church to announce Wednesday that it would begin hosting such nuptials.

The key development came last July when the Episcopal Church approved a ceremony for same-sex unions at its General Convention in Indianapolis, followed by the legalization of gay marriage in Maryland, which joined the District of Columbia. Clearly this church does not carry the hope of even Laodicea for it is not indifference it is guilty of, but rather calling evil good and encouraging others in it. It markets itself as the bride but it is a prostitute that beguiles men using culture as its attraction

As a prostitute she beckons men to build upon her soil but as alluring as she is her ground is useless and incapable of supporting a strong foundation. The structures attempted upon it will not withstand the litany of elements that will test it. So ground, foundation, and structure are all incapable of housing the One who should dwell within them.

A great sadness indeed.
