John 17:3Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Praise the LORD brother, you hit it right on the nail. When you think about it, everything other then knowing the Father is absolutely pointless. Thank youKarl

I cannot grasp the concept of eternal life. I know in reality it will be wonderful but the thought of eternal life to me is actually quite scary. I just imagine going round and round on a loop forever (like groundhog day!) and I can't quite get to grips with it. . Incidentally I used to be really scared of this concept but the more I am getting to know Jesus the less scared I become because being with Him will be the best thing anyone can ever experience and I get more sure of this as I grow in my experience of Him.

Clueless writes:I cannot grasp the concept of eternal life. I know in reality it will be wonderful but the thought of eternal life to me is actually quite scary. I just imagine going round and round on a loop forever (like groundhog day!) and I can't quite get to grips with it. .I think that's because you're concentrating on the quantity rather than the quality. Eternal life is not just longer, it is God's own life poured into a man or woman. If you compare Isaiah 6:3 with Revelation Rev 4:8 (which was written 800 years or so later) you may think you have entered some 'Groundhog Day', but time doesn't work like that in eternity. The angels you read about in Rev 4:8 have spent "800 years" at least before the throne, but this is not an endless loop, but their continuing reaction at being in the presence of God. Isaiah says each one is speaking to the next. Imagine 4 of them around the throne and No 1 says to No 2; He is Holy, Holy, Holy. No 2 takes his own look at the One who sits upon the throne and says to No 3; He is Holy, Holy, Holy. No 3 takes his own look at the One who sits upon the throne and says to No 4; He is Holy, Holy, Holy. No 4 takes his own look at the One who sits upon the throne and says to to No 1; He is Holy, Holy, Holy. No 1 takes another look at the One who sits on the Throne and says to No 2; He is Holy, Holy, Holy....Many Christian songs conclude that they are 'singing to God' if you look at Isaiah and the Revelation you will discover they are talking to one another. Now some people already seem as though they would be able to talk forever! Some preachers and some young women spring to mind... but in Eternity we will have the 'time' to talk forever and still have the 'time' to do everything else too...Keep looking to Him, Clueless, you will never get bored. I promise you.

Eternal life comes from the Father through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit imparts the "Life" into us. The Life gives us light. The light discerns between good and evil. The Life gives us the joy of fellowship with the Father and the Son. This fellowship fills His creation, and His creation glorifies Him. In ChristJeff
